There's no Times Square Bill-board of SSR. I think you're mistaking the Digital Billboard of Ram Mandir. Now that is extremely expensive. Anywhere from $15 K - $30 K/month depending on the frequency. Was paid by a Hindu Sabha in NYC.

SSR was recognized by California State Assembly too for his contribution in cinema and philanthropic community work. Not sure about the process leading up to that recognition but his sister was posting the certificate and expressing gratitude a while back. There are a ton of affluent Indian families in the Silicon Valley including executives of Google/Apple too. Indians are everywhere and if one of them pulled the strings and spent some money to make the billboard happen, why does it have to be some BJP uncle living in some fantasy land? You really can't stand the thought of other sane, rational people putting their money on #justiceforSSR, can you? 😆

A seemingly innocent man's death was covered up suspiciously by a corrupt police department. His issue surpassed bollywood a while back and his well-wishers are not just uncles who dream of going back home to a Hindu paradise as ridiculous as that sounds. A lot of people who didn't even watch bollywood movies were rattled by SSR's death and follow his case closely.

USA presidential elections are coming. Indians are the richest community in USA. They need Indian money, nothing else. Once they get it same posters would be replaced by make USA great again.

I am not psychic. In hospitality career I have met both insiders and outsiders.

Insiders and big stars are more conscious of their reputation. They do not throw a tantrum when they see us dealing with a 40 year old kid throwing a tantrum for getting things which are not part of their reservation. They quietly checkin and stay in their room mostly. They treat staff well. Never photograph Katrina without her permission, she likes her privacy.

Some outsiders and starlets throw tantrum, when the most expensive room is not given. They do not like it when staff treat them like normal human beings.

Hotels are sometimes are really busy.Sometimes so many people come at same time. It becomes increasingly difficult to deal with any sort of tantrum.

That's your experience as a part of hotel management team, and you can form your own conclusions based on how "easy" the nepo kids have been on that front. That doesn't have anything to do with why people are criticizing the gross level of nepotism that exists in bollywood though.

Bill Gates is also a very down to earth billionaire, but you can't use that as an argument against questionable business practices of Microsoft. Plenty of these "stars" misbehaving in public has been captured by the paparazzis anyway. So they're certainly not above anyone else cuz they're also humans and susceptible to get irritated like everyone else.
