I gotta admit, I admire Gul for being so upfront about the whole situation. Kaash! Itna clarity uski show me hota! Because she has gotten to work with so many talented actors and I am sure together they would have made even more amazing shows if the story was better.

I don't think so. Everyone knew that this pandemic would affect the rating. N2 could very well survive on the core audience of Nazar but even the most idiotic person would understand they ran out of every plot and no way N2 could survive on its own. So it was a proper business call on the PH's part.

But AL aise Muh Ke Bal Girega, I guess no one had anticipated that; not even us. So SP being SP would want to launch new show.

I would say it's really bad for Gul because they had solely concentrated on this project and now it's under scanner.

Well, N2 was never surviving on the core audience of Nazar. It was survivors mainly on Mohona fans and some fans of the sometwoes. Majority of the loyal fans of Nazar had left after Nazar ended.

P.S. Finally I mustered up courage and PMed Madhuri. She said the FF result might get announced at the first half of September. But there is a lot of things like siggies and every member also occupied with their real life work. So it's taking some time.

Well, I was thinking to PM her yesterday but I still haven't got the hang of my father's phone... Iska keypad thoda different hai. I am used to the qwerty keyboard but ye straight abcd wala hai. To isiliye I was thinking ki pehle humara haath is keyboard par set ho jaaye tab I'll PM Madhuri.

Well, yeh bhi sahi hain. Bohut saare genuinely loyal fans to Nazar ke original season mein hi chale gaye the when the story was messed up. To yaha pe -1 +1 = 0 game chal raha tha as some Nazar fans left, some Sometwoes' and Monalisa fans joined aur kuch shayad pure curiosity mein bhi dekhe honge jaise hum randomly different episodes/tracks dekhte hain.

But at the end it wouldn't be enough in this situation.

Someone made a really good thread in the AL forum today mentioning a Supernatural show isn't a Saas-Bahu show ki aap TRP ke hisab se story ghuma do. Yaha pe proper continuation hona zaruri hain.

Jab Nazar after the RCP and AL now couldn't survive the sudden shift in storyline to N2 kya ukhar lega, yeh agar aap pure delusional na ho to sabko samajh mein aa jayega. To proper business call to wahi tha ki isse off-air kiya jaye.

As we had anticipated, there will be a siggies and sab editors aur graphicers ki aur bhi to commitments hain. To thodi time lag rahi hain. But yeah, they want to make it grand since it's the first competition ever since the new section was launched. So it's cool! 😎

So, by the time the Pralay Yudh track came, around 60-70% of the core audience ie the hardcore fans left the show. The remaining fans decreased with the 6 year leap and the MoVedRi over glorification.

Still, with the diminishing interest, it managed a trp of arou 1.3 which was basically the trp of the opening weeks of N2. So, we can clearly see the difference here...

Now, about the comparison between the Supernatural shows and the Saas-Bahu soaps... yes, Supernatural shows do need a continuity but even then some tracks are scrapped on the basis of trp no matter how much weird it looks. In Nazar, MayRa track was scrapped just ainwayi. RiAd were introduced as the ultimate saviours who would be saving PiAnsh but ultimately they had to show the four as a team. Similarly, Aalia was brought in but again due to low trp, her track was also randomly scrapped off without any proper explanation given. So, not always but at times, tracks are changed on the basis of TRP.

And even though he/she said a Supernatural/Fantasy show needs proper planning, for me, any show of any genre needs that. Otherwise, why would I invest my time on something which could get scrapped any moment be it a track or a particular character?

Story needs to be crisp to hold your attention.

This is why I personally loe the Season format because the makers can analyze the audiences' view/reaction and can adjust the story a little with the main idea intact. But yes, there are some seriously stubborn American show makers too who keep on degrading their show.

But on an average, I like season format.

Not just Supernatural shows but all shows need proper planning and execution. Why will anyone waste his/her time when they can't even make a head or tail out of the show that they watch?

The story needs to be crisp with less glaring loopholes and should be executed nicely to hold the audiences' attention.

Coming to season format... Well, I have never watched any season format show. Aur jo dekha, uska aisa kachra hua ki ab itv se koi ummeed nahi hai...

So, for me, season format ho ya na ho, story should be crisp and should be executed properly without any dragging like a rubber band.

In ITV I haven't seen season based shows. But ha, Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai ka literal khichdi hi bana hain when they came back with its second season.

So the safest option for us is a moderately lengthy show where there is proper development minus the unnecessary tracks. Don't know when are we gonna get that though. 🤔

Iske alawa, Sony TV brought Adaalat in a season format but its second season was not much interesting and was wrapped up within two or three months. 🤔
