Also, these are those people who currently don't have any project to work on. So they can dedicate completely on the show.

It's very difficult to balance daily soap and reality tv.

Many daily soap actors have to leave their show to participate in reality show.

Mostly actors have exclusive contract with channel so if they are working with a channel they can't work on another channel without the permission of the current channel(I hope m making sense😆). At least hindi serial actors do have this exclusive contracts,where sp lead actor can't act or take participation in Colors ka fiction and nonfiction shows. It's upto channel if they want to give any concession on this contract.

मराठी मध्ये असे एकदा कविता लाड च्या बाबतीत झाला होता, तिनेच एक interview मध्ये सांगितलं होतं.

तिची सिरीयल लागायची 8 वाजता चार दिवस सासूचे, आणि 8 वाजताच तिची ऊंच माझा झोका लागायची झी वर. तिला सांगण्यात आलं की एक सिरीयल सोड.

त्या वर तिचा म्हणणं असा होता की ऊंच माझा झोका मध्ये ती main lead नाहीये. ती त्या छोट्या रमा(रमाबाई रानडे) यांची आई चा रोल प्ले करतेय. आणि जेव्हा झोका सिरीयल accept केली होती तेव्हा माहीत नव्हतं ना की ती पण 8 वाजताच लागेल आणि ते ही rival channel वर.

असा सगळा गोंधळ.

Good Lord... that'll limit an actors' creative abilities and source of income.

I'm surprised that with all their unions in the TV industry, they have such 'non-compete clause'.

But in some cases that exclusive contract is for first 2-3 yrs of any serial. At the end it depends on chann if they want to let that actor work on another channel and it mostly for leads or popular characters actors. In extreme cases actors have to leave the show too.

No idea, but both seem to be trained singers and not just casual "learn by yourself" singers.

Yes, she sings really well,. We will probably see her in another singing show if another one like this come later.
