Are we past the best part of Naagin 5?

As evident, it was not the first transformation of Bani. (She first hid from Nitin and other Cheel's eyes and then took Noor's appearance). She is putting the same facade as Shivanya in season 1. Jay's asthmatic transformation actually does not make any sense, but going by Naagin's logic where the weakest character is actually revealed to be the mastermind, there must be more shades to Jay (or like in Naagin 4, maybe CVs ki creativity tel lene gayi ho because wahan bhi koi suspense nahi tha). While I enjoy Vani on screen, the story is going to go in the super predictable route where as always Bani will misunderstand Veer and marry him to take revenge, while Veer will keep on protecting her from his family, clueless of Bani's motives. For once, I don't want any misunderstanding like in seasons 2, 3 and 4 to be the basis of the show. I mean, revenge aisa hona chahiye ki we audience root for Bani's character like we did for Shivanya in season 1. I also fear, as the season will proceed, they will make Veer's character useless and reduced to a damsel in distress where he is misunderstood yet rescued by Naagin everytime (kind of Anurag Basu in KZK 2.0). This time I want both Naagin and Cheel to have something bigger at stake than their love. Killing Naag and being pursued by Naagin for revenge is so old school. This time, something more drastic has to happen. Like Jay trying to kill Bani and leaving her to die for Naagmani. And also, Veer having no other thing to do other than following Bani and obsessing about her will kill the potential of the character. I mean I know you're obsessing about the girl since thousand years, but that must not be all. As I said, for this season to be a success, Bani, Veer and Jai all must have ulterior motives of their own other than love. I wouldn't want Naagin to kill Veer's family one by one and loverboy ko hosh hi nahi hai apne pyaar ke saamne. I want both Naagin and Cheel to give barabar ki takkar to each other, one upping each other everytime.

Yeah me too, some solid twist must be brought soon otherwise it will become boring.

They should keep Vani Tashan intact and also keep Veer's obsessive lover side going on as it's the main foundation for Vani but also being some ulterior motive for both of them which will make their interactions more interesting!!

Indian TV shows either show male lead as stoic who claim they don't have heart or time for love and the other are lattu loverboys who are blind to everything except love. They don't create male characters who accept that they are in love yet never lose their ruthlessness and cunning nature. Veer's obsessive nature is the foundation of his character but I don't want Bani's love to change him completely and make him completely white.

As I had mentioned in my thread yesterday, I feel Bani is completely aware of her powers and her identity as a Naagin, but it could be possible that like Veer, she has no recollection of her previous life. Or this is going the S1 or S3 way where she knows it all. We should remember that she is Adi Naagin. She becomes the naagin first, then probably Jai later. So my bets are on the latter.

Regarding the standard revenge route, I am really not sure this time who is her target - Nag or Cheel? Either it is the Nag because probably 40 years ago Naageshwari became privy to certain facts about Hriday and the cheels, which we were not shown. So she plans to target the cheels one by one and then marry Jai and punish him too. But that does not mean she wants Veer to be in her life, hence pushing him away. Deliberately being nice to Jai, because her trap was for Jai. In Bani and Jai's chemistry, I see a certain absence of warmth, which she should feel for him. It really feels both are playing each other, and to add to the agony, Bani also has to deal with Veer and his madness. But Veer comes in the way and this time we have a groom swap and Bani marries Veer instead and derails her plan.

Or, Bani merrily agrees to marry Jai knowing he is Hriday, but before marriage, she comes to know Jai's asliyat and tries to run away, but then Veer comes and kidnaps and forces her to marry him. And she could step into the house of Cheels and take revenge.

Or, we have the drab route, Jai dies, Bani cries, Veer marries and revenge begins. Or Jai kidnapped, Veer in disguise, Bani marries and revenge marriage onwards. There are so many routes that can be explored. I am really expecting a different revenge route this time. Hope we get it.

Bani and Jai surely will have ulterior motives, but Veer I ain't so sure, cos he is already pretty clueless about his family, so having any clue about of Bani, is a farfetched idea. There will be a tug of war between Cheels and Naagin with Veer in between. But just hope Veer does not completely let go of his sarphiraness and cunning nature, because being a cheel, he should always have eyes and ears everywhere.

Same let him be grey rather than fully white.

It also might go the bhagya way where Veer's father gets Veer married to Bani without being aware of her identity and ofc for saving him from the light ( which he mistakes to be someone else ) and then the revenge track begins.

I too hope that they go a different revenge route this time than marriage. I mean, I never can know how this idea got drilled in Indian TV show makers that marriage is the only path to get revenge.

And Veer doesn't even know about his family business. It's ridiculous because even Noor who got duped by him knows about the black deeds of his family and if we go by symbolism, a kite stands for speed and cunning whereas a snake for wisdom and mystery. So, being so clueless Cheel rajkumar is a blot on all the cheel clan. What's the use of all this badass attitude and one-liners if one cannot even know about what his family is indulged in. What I hate about all Naagin shows ki male lead ke alawa everyone knows his wife is a Naagin. For first time, I don't want male lead to be so dumb.

I get it that the Naagin has returned for revenge. But there should be a cause for revenge. I am getting a feeling that her revenge is directed towards Hriday which is why Bani is looking for Jai, taking his help in Noor's death case and everything. I mean something is very off about the whole plot surrounding Noor and her death. This looks like a massive set up for someone else, which has been tampered with by Veer and his brothers. I don't know, I may be wrong completely. But something is off.

Veer knows that his family does illegal business, but he probably does not know all of it. And strangely, being a Cheel, his brothers younger to him handle sex trafficking and he does not know, how come? I believe Tapish is the reason for that. But hero chahe sata savitra ho ya bigdail ghoda, clueless to woh rahega hi in Naagin series.

I loved your last line. Is maamle mein I love Kdramas. Chahe Goblin ho ya Moon Lovers, male lead is always as strong as female lead. After Mohan Bhatnagar in Na Bole Tum, the male leads in mainstream ITV are all becharas. There's a Kdrama where the wife gets to know the secret identity of her husband as a psychopath serial killer and the cat mouse game between the wife and husband is so well done. The wife never is weak for a single second compared to the serial killer and one ups him.

KDramas ka sabse bada khaasiyat hai barabari. Hero and heroine dono ek dusre ko barabari ki takkar dete hai. For once, I would love watching cheel and naagin as partners working together and ripping apart their enemies. It would be a fun watch.
