Same 😆 except my mum got sick of me asking so she named Zeenat (Champa) and Parveen (Chameli). Luckily for her, I couldn’t differentiate between the two so mum got away with mixing the names up (ie calling Parveen ‘Champa’ and Zeenat ‘Chameli’ the next time) 🥺
I hadn't thought about this at all.... used to watch movies alone that too, hiding from parents...(as I used to watch so many movies at once since I found out about hindi language (till few years back, zee tv and all used to show old hindi movies but now just south movies, that too bad ones)
So, just some years back, I started finding about actors' name 😆after wifi is easily available ..
Looks like I have watched their movies ..Me too love Parveen more
I have more.. this thread is so much fun ❤️😆
1. I didn't know that there was such thing as natural makeup. I thought they wore makeup only when there was heavy noticeable eyeliner, mascara & blusher. Also those were the only makeup I recognised.
2. I thought they were all just naturally good looking.
3. I thought that villains existed in real life and their definition was either lusting over the woman or wanting money.😆
4. I thought Sri Devi and Anil Kapoor were together.. was horrified when I learn that she married old Boney.😆
5. Also thought that Govinda & Karisma were together.
6. I thought Amitabh Bachchan was an angry young man in real life.
7. I didn't know that films used sets. I thought they were all real locations & those in the background were actual people living or working there.
8. I thought fair woman + patli kamar + intoxicating eyes (whatever that means 😆) = beautiful🤢
And that fat women = aunty
9. I thought background music was real.. and its just i couldn't hear it but others could hear it, as i was the main character & the world centred around me (not realising everyone else had their own lives)😆
As you can see, I wasn't a smart kid.

Red- nor was I😆
I used to think that hero heroine in one movie would be together and then with some other person in other movie with no hard feelings against each other😃
I used to get confused between Himesh Reshammiya and Imran Hashmi
I still get confused between Sunidhi Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal😆
Even i had hard time differentiating between zeenat aman and Parveen Babi.. I need to check if I still get confused when I see their pics together 😆

Green: No one in this thread was 🤣
Bold: I had watched Chalti ke naam gaadi or something sometime ago...there they used a small overweight kid as old naggy woman ..it wasn't even that believable
Red: They used to wear too much heavy makeups ..😆..now it looks funny
😆 I used to sing "humko humi se churalo, dil me kahin tum ghusalo"Same.. :) My dad still say the same.. :)
When I was little girl, Kurbani songs became very famous. I used to sing "Aap jaisa koi mere zindagi me aye to baap ban jaye.." :)
When I grew up.. I just didn't want to hear that song...
Amazing thread👏👏😆
I'm a 90's kid, so back then most of the actors' wig used to look very visible (especially the actresses' ones) so any grown up person could easily tell whether they're real hair or not.😆 For example Rani Mukerjee and Kajol from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, both of them had worn wigs but I thought they were real...in fact I used to believe that Kajol really had short hair and then shoot the second part when she grew up her hair after years🤣
Okay. I am learning this JUST NOW! 😲😃
1. Oh yes, all those movies that had twins like Angoor etc
I seriously thought that Deven Verma & Sanjeev Kumar had twins and I was in awe of how they looked exactly the same!
Then I saw Golmaal, and realised that Amol Palekar didn't have a twin. And so I formed the theory that if they appeared on screen together, that means they had a twin.😆
2. I also thought that the Parsi community was more forward thinking and western than the Hindu community thanks to movies like Julie, Khatta Meetha
3. I thought that sex was a very one-off thing. Its like the first time you do it (which i thought was just kissing), its gone and you lost it and you can never do it again, and so it was precious and had to be saved for the right one after marriage 😆
