Right the peak was so untouchable that I couldn’t touch her films.

I think Rani's 2004-2005 was pretty similar: Yuva (criticially acclaimed), Hum Tum (smashing hit), VZ (highest grosser), Black (made history), BnB (smashing hit), Paheli and MP (unsuccesful but high profile film with Bollywood's 2 biggest star). She worked with the best production houses (SLB, YRF), biggest stars (Amitabh, SRK, Aamir, Saif), had back to back commercial and critical hits and even gave a hit with the flop actor Abhishek in BnB.

winning 11 FF awards (still a record I think) plus Rani's perf. was considered to be out-of-world that time (though imo overrated, there's no denying that it made history at that time).
