RadhaKrishn birthday meetup. the whole virah concept going down the drain. I think he meets Radha more than he meets his wives...

This is total cringe !!!

Krishna can lecture everyone on the importance of marriage but himself. Pathetic representation of the divine couple and their divine love. This show reduces Krishna's wives to mere showpieces of dwarika not to mention how they sexualized Satyabhama.🀒

If we look otherwise we ll fedup

Unfortunately dear not everyone watching this show has a broad multidimensional perception as yours. They will continue to believe in this fiction and keep on degrading Krishna's wives. For example - SumeLika fans.

Aww Sakhi ❀ trust me majority of Hindus never get to read the authentic scriptures in their lives that's why all these moneymongers fool them so easily. If they were well read, these showmakers wouldn't dare to create such level of distortion. Glad to know you're interested in Krishna. This golok story though is debatable. I suggest you to read the works of Ved Vyas. Madhuri Didi can guide you best regarding this.

Didi, did Vasudev & Devaki know the real identity of Krishna or they thought of him as a miracle baby? I have seen in some shows that Narayan gave darshan to them after Krishna's birth also some even say that Devaki's pregnancy was just an illusion as God can't be born out of the human union and Narayan just placed baby Krishna in the prison cell and guided Vasudev to take Krishna to Nanadbaba's home.

Krishna Sakhi, πŸ€—to understand the entire Leela , first let us know the reasons behind the inordinate amount of tragedy that Devaki faced in her lifetime.

Maharshi Marici and Urna Devi had six demi-gods like sons. Once the Universal Grandsire, Brahma, was running after his daughter Saraswati, trying to placate her for some reason. These six boys happened to see this scene and were impudent enough to laugh at the scenario.

Unfortunately for them, Brahma noticed, and enraged, he cursed them to be born as Daityas in their next lifetime. By virtue of this curse, they were born as sons of Kalanemi and grandsons of Hiranyakasipu in their next birth. Now Hiranyakasipu was one of the most famous offsprings of Diti, hence a very powerful Daitya, who hated Brahma. But these six sons were nothing like their grandfather or father and secretly admired Brahma.

Secretly admiring him was fine, but they went to the extent of performing severe austerities for receiving a boon from Brahma, he was pleased with their dedication, appeared to them, and gave them the boon of protection from death in that lifetime! But things went wrong when Hiranyakasipu found out about this. Enraged that they would worship the God that he hated and that he couldn’t even harm them because of the boon that they had received from Brahma, he cursed them.

The curse dictated that in their next lifetime they would all be killed immediately after their birth. These six sons were the same six sons that Devaki gave birth before Krishna. She named them Hamsa, Suvikrama, Kratha, Damana, Ripumardana and Krodhahanta. Together, they are known as Sad-Garbha. They were killed by Kansa upon birth, who was, as mentioned earlier, a reincarnation of Kalanemi. Hence, Hiranyakasipu’s curse was fulfilled.

The seventh time Devaki was pregnant, it was Balaram in her womb, but by divine design, this fetus was transferred to Vasudev’s other wife Rohini's womb who was safe in Gokul. Hence Balaram was saved and here in Mathura, it seemed like Devaki had gone through a miscarriage. Finally, the eighth time, she was pregnant with Lord Krishna.

Much later, after Krishna had grown up and was in Mathura, Devaki placed a request before him. She had heard how he had brought Sandipani Muni’s son back to life and trusted that he could do the same with the six sons that she had lost. This is when Krishna traveled to Sutala Puri, where the souls of these six sons were residing, under the King of the Daityas, Bali.

When he explained their history to Bali, Bali released them to Krishna, who in turn took them back to Devaki. After a brief reunion of Mother and sons, they finally broke free of their curse and returned to the abode of the demi-gods. Devaki was very much aware of her son's Divine powers!

According to Bhagavata Purana, Krishna was born without a sexual union, but by divine "mental transmission" from the mind of Vasudeva into the womb of Devaki. In the story of Krishna, the deity is the agent of conception and also the offspring. Because of his sympathy for the earth, the divine Vishnu himself descended into the womb of Devaki and was born as her son. In the Vishnu Purana: "Devaki bore in her womb the lotus-eyed deity...before the birth of Krishna, no one β€œcould bear to gaze upon Devaki, from the light that invested her, and those who contemplated her radiance felt their minds disturbed.” Vasudeva once mentioned this to her and with a serene smile, she told her husband that now she is going to become the mother of a God who will save them from this prison! Later, when Vasudev returned from Gokul after leaving the newly born infant there, he narrated how the Yamuna parted to make way for his safe travel to Gokul and how Nature arranged everything for his secret mission.

And most importantly, all were heard when Akashvani announced the arrival of God to earth as Devaki's 8th son, it is a foregone conclusion, a well-known fact that God is going to descend to the earth as her son!

Suta , here is the interesting story of Saraswathi and Brahma!

Saraswati is omnipresent in so many countries apart from India. She is worshipped and venerated in countries like China, Japan, Burma, and Thailand. Followers of the Jain religion also worship Saraswati.

From the Vedas to the Epics to the Puranas, the character of Saraswati morphs significantly, but she consistently comes across as an independent goddess. Saraswati, the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge, is a unique character. The story of Brahma and Saraswati is really interesting.

Unlike the other goddesses eager for matrimony and motherhood, Saraswati is singularly aloof. Her white complexion and attire ΜΆ almost window-like one, indicate her asceticism, transcendence, and purity. There is, however, one oddity in her otherwise stated story – her purported relationship with Brahma!! That story is beyond moral perceptions and ethical standards!!

She was yet an abstraction, like most Vedic deities. A more solid personification of her character came about in the Mahabharata, where she was said to be Brahma’s daughter. The Matsya Purana, for example, tells us how she became his wife. And this is where the story of our interest starts…the story of Brahma and Saraswati, his obsession and her objection!!

Brahma the creator at one point, he split his body into two – one of which became the goddess Shatarupa, she of a hundred forms. She was verily named as Saraswati! As she, the most beautiful of all of Brahma’s creations, circumambulated around her father, Brahma was smitten. Brahma’s blatant infatuation was hard to miss and his mind-born sons objected to their father’s inappropriate gaze towards their β€˜sister’! 😊

But there was no stopping Brahma and he exclaimed over and over again how beautiful she was. Brahma became completely infatuated with her unable to stop his eyes from following her, he sprouted four heads (and eyes) in four directions, and then a fifth on top, when Saraswati sprang upward to evade his attention. He also tried to show his lordship on her, while she tried to escape from his stares and gaze. At this point Rudra-Shiva the ascetic god was so disgusted by Brahma’s behaviour, that he lopped off the later’s fifth head. This served as a punishment to Brahma for showing attachment to his creation!! This is why we see Brahma with his four heads only.

In another version, Brahma’s punishment came by way of him losing all his powers of tapas, due to his desire for his daughter. Now powerless to create, he had to appoint his sons to take forth the act of creation. Brahma was now free to β€˜own’ Saraswati. He made love to her, and from their union, the progenitors of mankind were born. Brahma and Saraswati became the Cosmic Couple. They lived together for 100 years in a secluded cave and apparently Manu was their son.

In another version of the Brahma Saraswati story, however, we are told that Saraswati was not as complicit as Brahma had hoped. She ran from him and assumed the female forms of many creatures but Brahma was not to be spurned and followed her across the universe with the corresponding male forms of those creatures. They were eventually β€˜married’ and their union gave rise to all manner of species.

From a sociological perspective, the idea of incest is one of the most universal taboos, and yet it exists as a foundational myth in most cultures. It has to do with the problem of the first man and first woman in any creation story. Being born from the same source, the first couple is naturally also siblings and having no other choice, The Brahma and Saraswati relationship did not receive the sanctity that is expected of all divine relationships and Brahma’s incestuous pursuit did not fetch him a good place in mythology.

Expecting a thought-provoking comment from Storm and Krishna now on this otherwise immoral Divine story. Here Saraswathi was a reluctant wife to her creator.

Thanks Madhuri for this one

Many hugs to you πŸ€—πŸ€—
