Colors promoting and glorifying negative characters as male leads

1. Ishq Mein Marjavan 2- The man who is a criminal and murderer is shipped in majority with the heroine eventhough he killed a female CBI agent in the 1st episode itself instead with the man playing a CBI. There are many who is with CBI guy but people supporting criminal guy is in majority.

2. Naagin 5- Again a man kills the lover of the heroine is shipped with him. Its not that the character of lover is good. The heroine was better without any of them. One was weak and useless and another was forcing her to accept his love. Still I could have excused that guy but him threatening heroine to be his in return of the lives of her people takes the chance of me excusing him. Its like shipping Padmini with Khilji. But may be in their reincarnation his character could be changed into a better guy. So their pair could be justified only if he don't do bigger mistakes. May be in reincarnation the lover of previous birth will be negative and enemy of previous birth will be positive.

3. Pijra Khoobsurati Ka- I can't believe the actress who played a strong and no-nonsense warrior princess in Maharaj Ki Jai Ho chose such a crap show. The girl in my dp is that heroine. I loved that show of hers. Here a man who is presented as the male lead wants heroine for himself as he is obsessed with her beauty. Are they promoting love story of a stalker and a victim? At least in Saubhagyavati Bhava, Perfect Pati, Rani-Ravan show of Star Bharat and even Nimki Mukhiya the makers did not showed heroine and negative guy as end game but brought a nice guy for heroine eventually no matter how much the majority viewers who wanted those toxic pairs as end game demanded from makers. But I don't have hopes of this happening in this show as the psycho guy is played by a good-looking hot actor and how from 2015 the condition of ITV deteriorated where in many shows the heroines are paired with criminals. It started from Begusarai but from Jeet Gayi Toh Piya More it went to worst level. From then every 2nd show had an abusive male lead but still he ended up with the heroine.

Nowadays I post or comment very less but what's happening in recent Colors shows especially after watching that Pinjra promo made me write this. This problem is with shows of other channels too but seeing 3 back to back shows like this is horrible. Will any girl actually marry a psycho or a murderer? Then why presenting such male leads who in reality will only deserve jail?

Hi i agree to your points. Except Naagin 5 i am not interested in any of these. As you said, Naagin 5 has chance of character transition. But i dont get why Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 is so damm famous although in trp charts is been proven a flop. I simply cannot stand by the male lead, the problem is not he is negative the problem is that they executing it quite badly, in the first day itself he killed a CBI officer irrespective of what relationship he had with her. The female lead is shown very pure and delicate which is annoying. And Pinjra show is damm disgusting, by name i thought it will be about a girl who aspires an aim to be something but societal norms stops her but this is 360° different from what i thought. Simply not interested in watching that show. Colors is getting regressive day by day i am assuming this, they bringing such negative shows like Bigg Boss repeatedly and this time when already there's pandemic situation and people are heated up already due to the injustice happened with the Late SSR. Anyway i feel starplus upcoming shows Shaadi Mubarak and Lockdown Ki Love Story are far better than any colors upcoming show right now.

They can excuse the enemy's behaviour in Naagin 5 by showing some reason otherwise it was not good to blackmail her to accept him by threatening her with others' lives. And from the clip I saw it was not shown who killed her lover so may be it was someone else.

Like Naagin 5 even in IIM2 the heroine is better without both the guys. One is clearly a criminal and other who claims to love her sends her to a dangerous mission without even basic training. Don't have any idea about that show after 1st epi but news says she is married to the criminal. Its same like a normal girl finding it cool to marry someone like Dawood Ibrahim, Haji Mastan or Abu Salem who looked handsome and dashing no matter how many crimes they did. I can't majority are shipping heroine with the criminal especially girls. Its like shipping Yasmine with Zafar instead of Aladdin. And whats with pure and delicate? Even milk and ghee are adulterated nowadays. And if she is delicate then why she has to agree to spy on a criminal with any training? She should have dumped her boyfriend.

About Pinjra show, I can't believe Riya Sharma chose such a stupid role after playing grey-shaded no-nonsense warrior princess in Maharaj Ki Jai Ho. Its like playing a poor servant after playing a businesswoman role. The promo reminds me of that awful show Jeet Gayi Toh Piya More where also the nasty stalker and criminal was shipped with the heroine.

Bigg Boss needs to be stopped. Every year its getting more nastier. only 1st 3 or 4 Seasons were good. From the time Salman came as host it started getting bad.

Shaadi Mubarak and Lockdown may start good but after 3-4 months like other shows it will shows its true colours. Its annoying to see Rajshree and Manav playing oldie characters when they hardly look above 35. Rajshree does not look a mom of a son who is married.

You are right its not early to judge par kya kare I saw many shows getting ruined. Hope these 2 shows are finite and have proper story. Anupama is highest in TRP but its a depressing show. About Bhagya shows on Zee we know how it is. Coming to the topic, makers keeping bringing shows with criminals as heroes because audience most of whom are shockingly females love them. Many want heroine romance with criminal in IIM2. Seriously? God knows how many he murdered including women too. Its not Alif Laila fiction where the Sultan has a happy ending with his last wife after killing more than 1000 of his wives causing grief to many families. At least that was centuries old fiction. But glorifying such men as heroes is too much when India already has high crime rate.
