'Being messy suits me'- Kareena Kapoor
That apart, Tashan's also the film in which Kareena is looking gorgeous. She lost oodles of weight for her role, which required a grungy look. Tell Kareena this and she laughs, "I think the whole idea of keeping it very grungy and rugged for me has really worked because I don't think an Indian actress has done that on screen before. Normally, we are always very particular about looking beautiful, perfect... with every hair in place. The messy look is not every actress' fave one. But in Tashan , the sexiness of the character emerges through her clothes,make up and hair. We have all worked together as a team to give a unique look, one that I have never had earlier. I am really excited and I think designer Aki Narula has done a phenomenal job."
Akshay Kumar, who is also a part of this Yash Raj film, is all praises for Aki too. "His styling is cool and the characters look very real. I loved my look in the film – it really works for Bachchan Pandey. That's my character's name, by the way," says Akshay.
And here's what Saif has to say about his look in the film: "The title itself required everybody to have a bit of Tashan – like the red belt my character wears throughout the film, and the kind of moustache and haircut he sports. Aki came up with some really nice clothes – mostly cargos and t-shirts. I have decided that I will never wear jeans again."
