Everyone is appreciating SM & LKLS, i agree both are good content shows but at the same time we are frightened about their viewership. The reason behind this fear is that in a channel where good content shows arent appreciated but only brought for experimenting and playing with audience's mind, in such channel a normal (100-150 episodes) run also seems llike next to possible. If Starplus really wants to transit themselves into a good content providing channel then they will have to axe the monotonous dramatic shows that run long for their producer's cash filled pocket. Every channel need to understand that ultimate boss is audience and not these cash fillers. Rural and Urban both should be catered equally only then trps will be increased. Promotion plays a pivotal here too, any show without promotion is not worthy for audience to watch.

First off, they are a business. They are not here to entertain people but here to make money.

Second, can you blame them? Saath Nibhana Saathiya’s repeat is getting 1.8ish ratings at 3pm! People still want to watch such shows only. Blaming makers blindly is not right. For instance look at the Naanum franchise. If I am not wrong, you were completely against that franchise because it’s storyline is so repetitive. But it seems like you are watching the show yourself.

So my point is as long as Naagin and SNS are the kind of shows people want to watch, those are the kind of shows that channels will air mostly.
