Though I see both sides of the argument, it’s not simple to say people are glorifying suicide. 2020 likely is an anomaly with regards to Suicide; There are other factors we need to consider that could have amplified suicide rates this year: social media itself, then the lockdown- which has both financial/social/mental effects, etc.
This is not considering any impact of geopolitical issues, or even potential diagnosed/undiagnosed Mental health issues.
Coming to SSR, someone who followed him since tv days, his personality, charitable causes , his work isn’t a surprise. But, you won’t see any of his most ardent fans here. The lot, aren’t super vocal & never tried hard to get attention. So, a lot of people now are feeling guilty and more so regretting not celebrating him when he was alive. This coupled with the furor over his death, it’s just a frenzy of emotion on social media.
@Bold 🤗 for this one ...
It's not suicide anymore people are suspecting murder now.

Ok, then why didn't people talk about SriDevi as much as Sushant after her death then? Her death was unexpected also, it was shocking.
Because no one treated her bad .She was put on pedestal by the whole industry
That is the point
I don't understand one thing. Ppl are repenting and fighting for his justice and for the family's sake when none of his bollywood contemporaries are coming to forefront to support the family . They're quick to come in rhea's defence just because she's a girl and taking away the seriousness of issue by attaching feminism angle to it. Ppl have taken the responsibility to get him justice. What does that have to do with him not being supported while he was alive? Some of us aren't even bolly buffs, just casual movie goers . Not everyone has to be his fan or has to like him from before to fight for his and his family's justice. His good deeds were suppressed while he was alive and coming forth now so shouldn't ppl now love him? He may not have been the most innocent person but he was unfairly treated. All his good deeds never highlighted. Atleast he deserves love and appreciation for that in his death.
Suicide is a tragic way to die. Nobody is glorifying it but it needs to be spoken about because its the last resort after a lot of suffering that Nobody deserves.

i mean what exactly were you trying to prove with that sridevi analogy? because frankly i found that analogy of yours extremely absurd and paradoxical
Then you should have read the whole thread first
Someone was mentioning that why is so much fuss over SSR when there is none about sridevi
My post was in reply to that
