Because people hijacked Sushant's death with various agendas and because he died significantly younger and in a much more controversial way. I don't think folks were ever sold about the suidice. It was so odd.

Irrfan died from an illness and it did hit people very hard. But I maybe because of his cancer diagnosis, it wasn't as unexpected.

If you keep repeating this 1000 times, still that won't make it true. And if u really claim so, may I ask you to please let me know how his tongue and eyes didn't have the signature marks of suicide, and who saw him hanging ?

Just asking since you're quite confirmed and have no doubts at all about him committing suicide.

Umm no. It was termed as suicide at first and then it has gotten messier now with suspicions of murder.

not necessarily, it’s more because it was unexpected, very sudden and absolutely out of nowhere. He was young, a budding star from a small town who had managed to pave way for himself in this industry. It was shocking For everyone, fans and non-fans alike. There was never any indications (at least for the audience).

when Irfan passed away, there was discussion around it too, and an outpouring of love. Same with Rishi K and Sri devi. That’s just what happens when A celebrity dies, for some reason. It fizzles out eventually though. The reason Sushant’s case is being talked about lore is because of the suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and not because they want to glorify suicide like you’d like to believe

Funny how nobody talks about Irfan Khan who died around the same time as sushant. Irfan Khan was a much better actor than Sushant, he was a great human being and had great films and yet, nobody talks about him. Why?

Everyone talks about Sushant because he died by suicide and that s gloryfing it.

Irrfan is definitely a more established and experienced actor, but you do realise that we were all aware that he had neuroendoctrine tumor right? A part of your mind knows that anything can happen once a person is diagnosed with cancer, probably the vilest disease ever.

On the other hand Sushant's death was TOTALLY unexpected. He was a young, seemingly healthy and budding star. And no, people aren't talking about Sushant because "he died by suicide". Sushant's dead body pictures got leaked and started getting scrutinized; people noticed things that pointed towards murder and shared them on social media, his flatmate started making contradictory statements about his death and most importantly his family filed a whole FIR against his girlfriend, accusing her of abetment.

And I'll maintain that it IS about Sushant himself - for his journey from a simple Bihari boy to a TV star to a Bollywood actor, for his genuine personality that people haven't acknowledged while he was there and to which they can now relate after watching his interviews though too late. Also for having been a victim of lobbying. I also feel that there are people who are seeking closure and relief from the regret of not having watched his films/followed him by 'fighting for him'.

Coming to your point, if people are indeed getting influenced by the love and support he's getting because justice for this underrated man is being sought, and deciding to resort to committing suicide as per their interpretation, it's really, really unfortunate and wrong.

Yes , agree. I myself, was a fan of his movies but never paid attention to him as a person. There was only negative reports about him, and very less PR anyways.

It is a tragic situation which has made most of the people apologetic of not appreciating a person when he was alive. It also goes with the narrative that he killed himself because he was depressed as we was not getting enough validation. That created a lot of guilt in people.

It's a one dimensional view to think that people are glorifying suicide by appreciating him. Its just not that straight forward.

Though I see both sides of the argument, it’s not simple to say people are glorifying suicide. 2020 likely is an anomaly with regards to Suicide; There are other factors we need to consider that could have amplified suicide rates this year: social media itself, then the lockdown- which has both financial/social/mental effects, etc.

This is not considering any impact of geopolitical issues, or even potential diagnosed/undiagnosed Mental health issues.

Coming to SSR, someone who followed him since tv days, his personality, charitable causes , his work isn’t a surprise. But, you won’t see any of his most ardent fans here. The lot, aren’t super vocal & never tried hard to get attention. So, a lot of people now are feeling guilty and more so regretting not celebrating him when he was alive. This coupled with the furor over his death, it’s just a frenzy of emotion on social media.

Ok, then why didn't people talk about SriDevi as much as Sushant after her death then? Her death was unexpected also, it was shocking.

I have many reasons for it.

1. He was an established actor in bollywood.

2. He was a family man in 50s. No girl is interested in 50 year old.

3. He was not a typical Bollywood hero who did singing and dancing in his movies. He was a charecter star.

4. He did not had any controversy around him.
