It's only leading to more suicides as we have seen recently.

After his suicide, Sushant has suddently become the most handsome, innocent, greatest actor ever.

When he was alive, he was just another actor (just read his movie reviews thread in here or the threads about him in here). Now, that he is dead, his movie trailers get the most likes and the best ratings. In the news they talk like he was one of the greatest actors, human being, etc.

Many are using him for ratings/money like Arnab, Kangana, Payal Rohatgi, etc. They have all become investigators to get ratings. Acting like they are filming a crime patrol episode and the audiences are eating their crap and giving them ratings/money.

That's the nature of the beast, isn't it?

The most legendary actor in the history of Indian Cinema is still alive. Dilip Kumar. Yet, nobody coordinates with Saira Banu—to start a show that celebrates the life and career of Dilip Kumar. They're all waiting for him to die, for the eulogies to pour in.

Why?

Dharma ain't paying for that. Masand berates his life for being unable to ask Nolan how he made Pyaasa and Pathar Panchali.

So?

Nobody is glorifying suicide here. People are giving Sushant the coverage that he always deserved. But since he wasn't a Kapoor, he was overlooked by the powers-that-be of Bollywood.

Suicide isn't a whimsical decision most of the time. For some, yeah. For most, it's a consequence of deep contemplation. Depression isn't a fad as actors in Bollywood would want you to believe. It's soul-crushing.

We also don't know if it's a suicide yet.

So, let's stop being Swara-esque and let's start respecting Sushank, suicide cases, and the investigation that's going on.

I partly agree , suicide can have serious repercussions on the people you leave behind. Your family, friends , and if you are a known personality, your fans.

There have been tv series, like 13 reasons why, which have been accused of romanticising suicide.

But having said that, you have to look at it from the victim's point of view as well. They need to be unbelievably brave to take that step. There are reasons for every life to be taken. Help has to given to them, signs have to be recognised.Awareness has to be created.

Just badmouthing the guy, saying look he was such a weak person, look what he did to his family. Not helpful to anyone at all.

But, in SSR's case it's not even that simple. In 10 mins of his alleged Suicide, there were articles about how he was depressed and so he took the step.Narratives were already outlined before people could even grieve properly. And when people saw how he was as person, there was remorse, that the life when it was , was not recognised enough. The sadness doubled.

And then ofcourse, with all the new facts emerging, it just got worse.

Sushant Singh Rajput's death was murder and not suicide

But i guess even if we throw evidence on someone's faces, we will be still called as Bots.

For people who are on the brink and already tired of life, a bad example is being set when it's shown that they will be loved and praised in death much more than they were in life. Suicides do inspire other suicides.

@ Bold - Part of the last 2 months protest is also against the gangmism of BW due to which the due praise and brilliance that SSR deserved in his lifetime, got maligned in the name of Blinds and Competition. Had the game been fair, he would have been as much praised and loved by one and all when he was alive, considering the type of brilliant and humble personality he was. So why should we not celebrate the same and bring down the facade of BW at LEAST post his death ? Because people were sleeping yesterday, they oughta sleep entire life ? Revolution doesnt happen that way. BW is going to be scarred and maligned for life, and slowly but gradually there will be a change towards the dirty politics that happens around. Let SSR's death be a trigger for that revolution.

@ Red - And so does Covered up murders do for another covered up murders. A botched up investigation to save criminals does inspire many criminals and investigation teams in the process. What to do, that's the nature of life.

True. I did see a bot come and disrespect someone who allegedly committed suicide. It was one of the filthiest posts I'd read, and must have emanated from a sick mind.

People are just terming it as Suicide to rile up his fans in this forum. After so many evidences and everything that's going around only a person with not so good intention would keep terming it as suicide.

He is getting lot of praise because of the who he was as a person. Most people only knew the side of Sushant that media showed ( arrogant, womanizer, left his long term girlfriend, insecure etc) but after his death people are getting to know his geeky side, his love for books and education, his passion and hardwork for which he never got his due. But yes I agree most people are overdoing it by calling him the greatest actor and making him one kind of saint.

With all due respect to the deceased, if Sushant was alive, people knowing his other side wouldn't have made much of a difference.. I mean, BW lovers seldom care about love for books or physics or education.. They mostly care about what they see.. How a person conducts himself in IVs and how he comes across.. So the praise is actually mostly coming because he is no more.. even if media had shown his other side, it wouldn't have made much of a difference if he was alive
