It's only leading to more suicides as we have seen recently.
After his suicide, Sushant has suddently become the most handsome, innocent, greatest actor ever.
When he was alive, he was just another actor (just read his movie reviews thread in here or the threads about him in here). Now, that he is dead, his movie trailers get the most likes and the best ratings. In the news they talk like he was one of the greatest actors, human being, etc.
Many are using him for ratings/money like Arnab, Kangana, Payal Rohatgi, etc. They have all become investigators to get ratings. Acting like they are filming a crime patrol episode and the audiences are eating their crap and giving them ratings/money.
That's the nature of the beast, isn't it?
The most legendary actor in the history of Indian Cinema is still alive. Dilip Kumar. Yet, nobody coordinates with Saira Banu—to start a show that celebrates the life and career of Dilip Kumar. They're all waiting for him to die, for the eulogies to pour in.
Why?
Dharma ain't paying for that. Masand berates his life for being unable to ask Nolan how he made Pyaasa and Pathar Panchali.
So?
Nobody is glorifying suicide here. People are giving Sushant the coverage that he always deserved. But since he wasn't a Kapoor, he was overlooked by the powers-that-be of Bollywood.
Suicide isn't a whimsical decision most of the time. For some, yeah. For most, it's a consequence of deep contemplation. Depression isn't a fad as actors in Bollywood would want you to believe. It's soul-crushing.
We also don't know if it's a suicide yet.
So, let's stop being Swara-esque and let's start respecting Sushank, suicide cases, and the investigation that's going on.
