Kangana(Tanu Weds Manu Returns) or Alia (Raazi)?

Strictly speaking, only these 2 films garnered 100 crores each at the box-office among female-centric films. Which film do you attribute more to the respective actress' star power?

I think Raazi worked due to patriotic content and Tanu Weds Manu Returns because of the comedy and script.

But I would like to know your opinions.

In terms of star power? Alia for sure.

None of them had 'star power' so to speak, though Kangana was slowly getting there.
She didn't follow up with good films, so failed.

Alia's star power is fabricated, but I will not deny her credibility or performance in Raazi.
She definitely contributed her bit.

I don't see Raazi doing that well with someone like Parineeti or Shraddha in Sehmat's role.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns. I guess. ( as a general audience, I did hear a lot about her performance) just on the basis of my experience :)

Though, I do believe both the movies didn't work only because of star power. They both were well made movies with different genres and with good supporting cast. If the movies weren't good, both the actreses wouldn't have pulled them off just on the basis of their star power.

TWMR. One of the best performances in Bollywood history, so many iconic moments and scenes. So many nuances.

Raazi was very gimmicky

Can Alia ever do TWMR?for that matter any one else today?

Anyone could have done Raazi..I have seen Shraddha in haider and Chchhore.She could have done the film with the same BO result.

Raazi had a good opening which can be attributed to star power of Alia .The superlative content was a bonus .Even otherwise Alia movies open usually well (Barring a Highway when she was a newcomer).Even the likes of Kalank and Shandaar started with double digit numbers .

TWMR was riding primarily on sequel factor and wom.Kangana and star power should not be used in the same sentence.Her star power simply does not exist!😂

Kangana and Deepak were the stars of TWM2, and Raazi only worked because it was a patriotic movie, more specifically, a spy story and the story writing and the world Meghna created was beautiful.

Alia only gave the calmness Sehmat required, other scenes she was "mujhe ghar jaana hai", also, Vicky in a movie works anytime☺️ (except bhoot😆)
