I think it's because she is a super nice person and maintain friendly camaraderie with them bigwigs in Bollywood. That defo help her snag some really plum projects.

Her good looks which captured the imagination of many men, especially in north India.

Her dancing skills which ensured that she got a lot of superhit songs in her name.

Her ability to stay in the good books of Salman Khan despite him not having treated her well

Her ability to be silent and diplomatic ensured she steered clear of controversies

Her film choices which did not focus much on acting skills

She leveraged her strengths and underplayed her weaknesses. And it worked.
