Exactly. The only reason people were mad at her then was due to the Bhatts and her not taking a stand against them for Sushant's sake. Yet, the way she structured that message left such a bad taste. Something felt so fake and demeaning. Now, we know why we felt the way we did.

For all those disillusioned by CBI's past bungles, they have done some wonderful investigation work too.

Two landmark cases are that of Jessica Lal and Priyadarshini Matoo's. Their culprits might have gotten away scott free, if not for CBI taking over the case and taking them to their logical conclusions. Both the culprits belonged to high-profile, politically connected families and the police completely bungled up the investigation in both the cases, clearly siding with the culprits and destroying almost every forensic evidence. CBI took over the case and on the basis of witness testimony and investigative work, ensured that both of them were sentenced.
