Rudhita – the unanswered question…
Hi Friends
I never thought I would watch a show and I did watch Udaan mainly because of the theme which was bonded labour and like Aura, Spandan hooked me to and eventually got attached to the pair SuKor / RagKor due to Meera and Vijayendra’s excellent chemistry which made me write few OS and SS on them.
Again BB drew me mainly due to the different concept and Aura the spark and her expressions made me hook back. I fell for Rudhita mainly because of the wonderful writers here. Not a great writer but one episode in specific and that question made me ponder much! So thought to pen down a OS on them. Have a backlog of episodes to catch up but enjoy the discussions on the EDT here amidst my crazy work…

The unanswered question!
Ten years ran past………….
So many things have happened……
The RC Mansion was fully decorated for it was a double damaka, for Bondita was turning twenty and she was landing that day on completing her Barristery after four years with a gold medal….
The Mentor was of full pride about his Mentee ….. I have fulfilled my responsibility but is it only responsibility… ARC was fighting his feelings, for, after their last meeting two years back when she turned eighteen and was here for a month for her holidays and his eyes towards her shined with different shade…
While she was in London studying, Anirudh was practicing in Calcutta and would wait to hear her voice over the trunk call couple of times for few minutes and those few minutes her voice was like music to hear for him though all she would be was asking him her doubts and her inquisitive questions.
Bondita too would wait to speak to her husband, just his masculine voice would assure her comfort and would ward away any queries that she would have but that voice nowadays did bring butterflies in her too…..
In those few minutes she would ask about all kaka sasur, sasur, som dada, Bihari kaka and also about her mango trees and the calf…. but eventually end with a smile saying Pati Baba apna kayal rakna when Anirudh would smile at his mentee…. Though his ribs would jitter too. Thum bi Bondita… he would say and would gulp in sigh when the call disconnected.
In all this That question always kept flashing in his mind……..
Pati babu kya hamara shaadi bi galat hai????
She was just ten and too young to understand about their marriage but always understood the answers and explanations her Barristra Babu gave her.
But when she asked this question he had no answers…. All he could say was she was too young to understand and will explain when she grows up like the bud which finds the right time to bloom.
He found solutions to all her queries or rather finding solutions made him more strong.
She was upset about her bedwetting problem, though he had tried all ways and failed still he never gave upon her and send her to her mai’s house but tackled it when she spilled one day that it was since six months she was having this trouble and if she holds her maa’s saree she would sleep fine. He realised that she had a fear and to over come that he took that step to hold her hand and tell her moral stories till she slept and would leave for his room only to come back before she woke up.. Binoy would taunt him but ARC is ARC he did not step back but went forward in making her fight her fear, the fear of bedwetting and she won holding his hand… He was her every answer.
He was amazed at her sharpness…. And that spirit of hers and his thought to empower her made him send her to school much against his family…. And she excelled above all. Well who was tutoring her!

But still he could not find the answer to that question which still was unanswered. She did not ask the question again but he knows a day will come for him to answer.
He was ridiculed, when his little fairy bloomed into an angel at the age right age and rose again to ask the question why is that boys can continue to study while she cannot…. The RC mansion was throwing tantrums about what the society will say if she continues school but Anirudh answered her question and sent her to school and can anyone dare the now famous Barrister Anirudh Roy Chowdhury. Trilochan could not raise but somewhere he was also feeling proud of his shararthi bahu…. Though empowered but she would still be that sweet bahu who would faithfully do all the sanskari rituals for she respects kaka sasur a lot and the ardent devotee of Durga ma never wanted anything to befall on her Pati Babu though sometimes Raakshas Babu due to his behaviour towards the society had some threatens too.
ARC was nonetheless, growing more handsome as with age and wisdom which brought sparks within the angel too…
She excelled in her studies and when asked what to be pursued she chose Law and again a big storm was blowing saying she is now grown up and that they should take their relationship further by kakasasur…But ARC put his foot down and said she would fly high. She could not understand much but had butterflies when she would see her Pati Babu after his morning workouts….
He had seen her as his responsibility but with the current feelings he did not want to force her for she was bubbly too young and wanted her to fly high…. May be find a new nest too…. But something cringed him….
He was also becoming more famous with his different thoughts and the reforms he was trying to bring about…
She would share all her school stories for the nonstop chatterbox she was along with so many questions about the society….and would have her share of arguments with him to as not all conversations would be fruitful and in that event he heard her complain to Durga Maa and in the bargain heard her say Raakshas Babu… he was shocked but amused at his naughty one who will be pacified with a bowl of Roshogollas and can she refute her sweetmeat…

Anirudh Babu……………. Bahu aagayi….
He was brought back to the current but waited in his study as he would always be………. And specifically in his current state he was finding it hard to control his feelings and said to himself I shall wait here Bondi for it is becoming hard for me to suppress my feeling for my Bondita… well did I say it aloud…. He closed his eyes..
She walked in with so much eagerness to see her Pati Babu… she was in her usual red saree with her bangles and her anklets. Her sindoor was bright on her forehead…. She was clutching her medal and her certificate… Her eyes were searching for him….. but he was no where to be found. Kaka Sasur and Binoy and others were there blessing her and asked her to light the diya at their pooja. She did all with so much palpitation… All she wanted was to run to her Pati Babu.
The elders went to their respective rooms while the dining was being set…. She knew where he would be and ran to the study which was closed.
She slowly opened and realised he was near the window looking out…. He heard her anklets and turned and was so lost in her… she was in tears looking at him and ran to him to garland his neck and closed her eyes seeking solace. He hugged her very preciously and said…Congratulations Bondi … I am so proud of you….He would always do that whenever she would come winning something….. Few minutes passed but soon they realised that it was not as it used to be for their hearts were equally racing..
She released her hands and gave him the medal and the certificate and looked up to him..
She looked into those eyes which was always used to shower her with compassion, friendliness and affection but was now shut holding her …
Pati Babu she called him…. He opened his eyes to see her beautiful big eyes which was looking so different… it was seeking something… questioning him with tears…. Bondi he opened his mouth with shock… he cannot see tears in her….
She closed his mouth with her finger and said… pati babu you have always answered all my questions since I knew nothing at that young age but I still remember you did not answer my one question….his heart cringed…. He knew that day has come but can he let her go if she wanted to…
Kya sawaal hai bolo Bondita…. He asked her….
With loads of tears she asked… Pati Babu kya hamara shaadi …. She could not complete her sentence as she feared if he would say it was wrong!!! Can she let him go if he wanted to…
But the hearts and their eyes were looking into each other deep, understanding what their souls wanted to cry loud…
She cried when he held her face and said
Bondi now that you are in the right time can you answer this question please as his heart was bursting out….
She hugged him tightly and said YOU ARE THE RIGHT THING THAT HAPPENED IN MY LIFE AND I WAS FEARING IF U… not allowing to complete her he said kissing her forehead on her sindoor saying YOU ARE MY LIFE AND MY WEDDING WITH YOU IS THE MOST RIGHT AND THE BEST THING Bonditaa….I love you he said….lifting her chin only to see how his wife Bondita Roy Chodhury turned crimson red hearing those magical words from his mouth. I love you too she said pecking his lips which he took control as emotions were flaring… holding her by her waist he slightly pinched her when she said shhh Raak biting her tongue… he hugged her close looking into her eyes with desire saying… kya Raakshas Babu??? he tightened his hold...Nai nai looking lovingly into his eyes which was full of desire and passion she said meri Rakshak Babu…. Aahaaa Happy Birthday mera Roshogulla he kissed her forehead!!!
He did take long long to find an answer to her question only to find the best and the right answer.
Every relationship goes through various questions in the hope to get the right and the relevant answer!
