"Dirt on social media’: Minister Babul Supriyo supports Alia Bhatt,

Minister of State (MoS) environment Babul Supriyo came in support of Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt who is being trolled over the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He described the trolling against Alia Bhatt on social media as “criminal” and urged the Mumbai Police to arrest the culprits at the earliest.

He also said that actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death calls for a thorough investigation and that the matter is “completely different” from the nepotism debate in Bollywood.

“Wil not allow Bollywood to be maligned & singled for Nepotism• It’s exits every Field•Finding the circumstances that led to #SSR’s death, probing all criminal aspects, if any, is completely different frm the Nepotism/Outsider/Insider debate,” he said.

Sure rape/death threats should be condemned, but anonymous accounts going on verbal diarrhea on the internet can't possibly have any legal consequences in real world. Don't know which bubble these people live in.

I also refuse to believe that Alia, etc are receiving rape/death threats in the same frequency as they're receiving criticisms. They're simply trying to deflect criticisms, which is the real masla here.

Vile trolls have always existed and they could ignore them when they could play to the gallery, but now that they're actually in the hot seat, they're coming up with the phony rape/death story to deflect people from calling out their crap That's my take on it.

He's a minister now who has traditionally spoken up for topics like nepotism so him saying this is surprising. I dont think Bhatts have connections with him- he looks like he has bigger fish to fry, tbh.
