Do you even know Kartik's journey? He struggled for 8 years despite PKP and PKP2 becoming successes. He didn't get any top film offers. He broke through with SKTKS so that changed everything for him but just look at where the rest of the PKP boys are today. There is a diff between struggle and having your career deliberately sabotaged which was what happened to SSR.

Most outsiders struggle - Madhuri, Sridevi, Juhi, SRK, Amitabh, Ayushman, Deepika, Rajkmar rao, Nawazuddin, Irrfan - all of them had varying levels of struggle.

That part is universal. Some level of nepotism will also always be universal because man has and always will be tribal.

Since I can only speak for myself, I will tell you my rants on the subject have mostly been about the deliberate assault on other people's careers by the mean girl mafia.

Karthik Aryan did not go through that sabotage. Secondly, he is (smartly) ingratiating himself with them to get where he wants. Thirdly, he ain't a great actor. Looks all right but not exactly heartthrob type (of course, this is subjective).

Any rant from his side about nepotism is that it took him this long to get to the A-list despite no talent, average looks, and no connections. Yeah similar story to SSR #sarc.

Where did I compare him to SSR? They are two different actors with different journeys.

Besides, what would we even know what Kartik went through unless he talks about it? You may think that he has no talent or average looks but he has a clear audience that thinks otherwise and has made it today despite any obstacles. Why are you taking that away from him?

I said he succeeded despite all the negatives IN HIMSELF. Whoever gets backsides on the seats is a star. No question.

Whereas others (like SSR) have gone through deliberate sabotage. If Karthik has, he hasn't spoken about it. Why would anyone assume he has until proven otherwise?😆

So any angst from Karthik re: nepotism rings hollow because he got where he did in eight short years. That is not a long time for someone without talent, looks, or connections to reach his level of stardom. Akshay Kumar could tell you.

None of what I said was to take away Karthik's stardom. Something in him obviously appeals to audiences. And clearly, he doesn't come across as a himbo in his interviews. He's playing the system well, too.

I was just saying he doesn't seem to have gone through the same kind of game-playing and bullying SSR was subjected to. It really doesn't compute when he complains about a system which has been more than fair to him given the circumstances.

P.S. If I hear stories about any mafia-type nonsense visited on him, I reserve the right to change my mind.
