Which genre do you prefer more: candyfloss, escapist, fun and frothy films or socially relevant, hard-hitting, gritty films?

Candyfloss as I do not like to have any source of stress in my entertainment. I mostly like to watch wildlife and animals online.

A little bit of everything.

But if I have to choose only one for rest of my life than give me crime dramas over everything. Before it was South Indian masala genre, but now after binge watching Adalaat, Boyemkesh Bakshi, Dexter, Bosch, Life(2007), Luther and The Mentalist and also several thriller movies, it had become my favourite genre.

I like both, but I do tend to gravitate towards darker themes like psychological thrillers, it's just more interesting to watch imo
