There is a reason they have common first name (Tulsi is Ocimum tenuiflorum whereas the botanical name of basil is Ocimum basilicum)

Ocimum is a genus of aromatic annual and perennial herbs and shrubs in the family Lamiaceae.

Same family... but not the same plant 😉 if you want, they are siblings, which means two different entities
