I agree Ranbir acts well but Alia 😕she cannot cry properly and in Kalank her dancing/expressions while dancing were bad

a country of over one billion people and the best actors are these two?

Ranbir has improved a lot, He used to give same blank expressions earlier in his carrier. He has superb movie line. Barfi, Jagga, APKGK, Sanju (haven't seen it coz I can't tolerate glorification of a criminal), Rocket, Wake up Sid.

He won't look good in masala action as he looks too uber-urban. Neither I can imagine him in Period dramas. But he has nailed other genres.

Even I didn't like Sanju because of the same reason you mentioned. But he was superb as Sanju. And tbh RK hasnt done a proper period movie, I think he would nail it. People didnt think Priyanka could do a Barfi but she nailed that role.

Nobody asked this question when Nargis was there. One would have answered Meena Kumari, Nutan, Waheeda.

Nobody asked when Sridevi was there. People might have answered Madhuri or somebody else.

Because Alia is so, SO good.., beyond all these actresses..., that is why we can’t find a comparison among her contemporaries.

I can literally write a list.

I think DQ isn't close to being the strongest Malayalam actor but even he can do better than Ranbir and has proven to be much more versatile recently after moving on from his ex-NRI type roles. Ranbir toh is still stuck being a man child.

Honestly I don't even know one person in real, outside this forum whose favorite is RK.

KWK is the only place where I can see everyone placing Alia and Ranbir at the top of those lists and it used to get me so confused. Like really, over Aamir also?

I dont even have anything to say about Alia.

Man, don't compare the legend Sri devi with Alia for Gods sake. Madhuri might be a great dancer than Sri but not a great actress. Sri devi was one of the finest actress we had. Her one song will have more acting than complete movies of Alia, for e.g. "Parody song of Mr. India". Her recent movies like Judai, English Vinglish, the way she emoted envy, greed, vulnerability was phenomenal.

It would be good to compare her with newcomers than you can easily give her some grace marks due to lack of real talent but comparing her with legends like Nutan, Waheeda, Sridevi won't help the fan in you.

OMG you somehow indirectly compared Waheeda Rehman with Alia. she was Grace personified. Just look at her in Delhi6, Piya tose naina lage etc.

it's so sad that bollywood has evolved to be such an ecosystem where a director ain't able to find better actor than Alia, RK. That's called shoved in the throat forcefully. Nayi real actress dhoondhiye Balki sahab, we are waiting.

Don’t forget that Balki’s wife Gauri Shinde is on Karan’s payroll, she probably got paid big bucks and that’s why husband is bending over backwards too now , wannabe elitists

Balki is so mediocre. Got hyped only because of Sridevi.

Can't comment on the politics but calling out these names to be the best among the lot is seriously disheartening and that too from a good director.
