Lol thats so funny. Isnt that what call center people do? My husband is always getting these calls from spam companies, and he knows its all scripted because those people are from India and can barely talk English, so he intentionally asks them random questions and makes them confusedš¤£š¤£
Australia. How's our Queen Elizabeth doin? I've been enjoying my public holidays every year of her birthday. LONG LIVE THE QUEEN! š Yeah I just wrote the script because I used to have phone anxiety too and was a perfectionist. I was terrified of making a mistake or looking like an idiot for not being articulate on the phone
Oh this reminds me: Insert Story Time
I once had a group assessment with random students and one of the guys was a gross sleaze ball so I didn't want to give my number out for him to contact me on the pretence of 'uni work'. I told him to just message me on FB as I have a medical condition and am partially phone deaf - have trouble hearing anything over the phone (BIGGEST LIE IVE EVER TOLD). He looked suspicious but didn't comment over my bizzare condition since I could hear perfectly clear in person. Long story short, a month later he somehow got hold of my number and called me. I forgot about my lie and was responding properly. He then went quiet and was like, 'don't you have a phone-deaf hearing condition?'. LMFAO Guess what I did?
'Uh hello? HELLO? I can't hear you properly. What? Sorry I don't understand'. And his like, you were hearing everything perfectly before ... š¤ But I ain't a true SRK fan if I don't follow in his persistence, so I stubbornly continued to pretend I couldn't hear him anymore š¤£

I don't have this kind of phobia. It's just that I don't like talking to people on phone and make calls to people whom I hardly knowš¤

So what do you do when you have to make a call for something important? Do you have any other options?
