Bold- I am sorry i find it very hard to be ok with what Manoj said seeing how many outsider films did well in the past few years especially low budget films as well. Rajkumar Rao, Ayushman Khurana , Karthik Aryan , Vicky Kaushal, it's their movies previously that have done well. Infact it was last year only that Ayushman and Vicky both won joint best actors at several award functions. A film like Newton (Rajkumar Rao) got a lot of acclaim. So what Manoj is talking about hasn't really happened. May he is talking about his specific films, if he would name it may be i could understand. But this general statement makes no sense.
Also Monopoly is an issue no doubt but so is the audience. As long as audience doesn't accept the role they played in this or take part of the blame or take action themselves then nothing is going to change. As long as the audience keeps blaming others without trying to understand the role they played nothing is going to change. Why did Dharma become this big production house and a brand? It wasn't always so. Dharma was in huge loses when KJO's dad was there. It was in complete doldrums no where the brand it is today. Who did that? KJO made movies but its the audience that made this movies a hit. Its audience that gave commercial success to Dharma movies and made it a brand. I don't know why people are so against audience taking some real action and why cant audience take some real action.
Rectify ourselves- This means force others to change but we wont change ourselves. Which i always find hypocritical.
Auidience actually decides whats hit and whats flop. Stop blaming KJO for this. Blame movie going audience.
Most people want to relax with a movie. So most people want to watch light and candy floss movies which gives the brain and mind bit of rest. Many people do not like parallel cinema or movies on serious topics.
I thought theatre exhibitors were only too keen to show films that are recieved well...thugs of Hindustan got kicked out and badhaai ho was screened instead at several theatres...dosent it depend on how the content is recieved rather than who arm twisted eventually? Same happened with tumbad, takshent files and ilk...
They didn’t try a lot of screens coz not every film has that universal an audience..it can still do well with limited screens if an audience section patronises it case in point kahaani, baahubali (first film had Low screens for the dubbed version), etc
U can complain about being brainwashed all u want ...recognise ur putting urself at disservice because u have a brain that u can refuse to get “washed” and so does the rest of the audienceRemember what happened with kalank? No amount of fancy pr could wash anyone’s brains there
Thugs Of Hindustan, Race 3, Kalank and Bombay Velvet are horrible movies. What they were thinking while making these movies?

But this guys career (Manoj) is filled with more failure than success and here is asking for more marketing ? I’d laugh him out of my office 😆
He is a case of sour grapes.😃

Shushant is a clear example what happens when people do not take care of their mental health and commit suicide. Nobody should take his path to run away from problems.

Not him.
We have enough idiots on this earth who will try to commit suicide to become famous.
Dunno. You'd better ask Manoj Bajpayee. My hunch was that he was talking about his own films and didn't name them b/c he didn't want to come off as whiny.😆
