No matter how much we blame nepotism enablers from Bollywood, they are only a tip of the iceberg.

We, the audience, are the largest and the most "culpable" element for fostering/nurturing nepotism ecosystem..

Tho on serious note - this is the issue naa!

Nepo kids get gigantic PR, publicity, huge platform to promote their products so audience is familiar with their products - while outsiders have very limited resources for such an outreach! They get low budgeted products, minimal promotion and very limited exposure. And then some have the audacity to question why outsiders' teasers not being watched - Well duhhh you guys kinda proved the entire debate by highlighting this mere dichotomy!

How do you explain PKP, BBB, Yaariyan, Vicky Donor, and KPC all being so watched? They all had newcomer outsiders, no prior PR/limited resources, minimal budgets, etc and still managed to been seen widely and became successes. Recently, let's take Bullbul. Barely anyone was even aware of its release beforehand and yet it was trending #1 on Netflix for days. Alternatively, if you believe audiences are watching star kids because of their PR, then how do you explain Refugee taking the biggest opening day back when there was no PR or publicity like today?

I'm not denying that media support and major banners don't help with reach but there are plenty of major successes that have happened without that so audience clearly doesn't require it. If people are drawn to something, they will like it and talk about it, drawing in more people eventually. The fact is that just didn't happen here because people were mostly not interested.

Dil Bechara will probably break Hotstar records like it is breaking YouTube records, SSR's case is different. Most of the people are feeling genuinely upset by his demise. I will not question that.

I really like Vidyut Jamwal, he is hot and good actor too. But the trailer was bad, also Shruti Hassan is worst ever, can't stand her. And that too much detailed lovemaking scene for no need totally lost me.

Vidyut was good in Commando 1 and Force. In other Commando movies he was acting too smart and all that Bhavna Reddy drama was such a turn off. Should we really support that?

Good movies and actors like RajKumar Rao are supported and for a good reason. Don't understand why we are asked to show support for anyone blindly.

^^people themselves have been acting as if they will give absolute, blind support to outsiders and I kind of wondered if it is possible. How can it be expected that public will watch outsiders' movies solely because they are outsiders and not care for their interest in the movie's genre or the acting of the leads?

Having said this, vidyut and tiger do the same genre of movies and tiger is received better. What other reason can be than that of him being an insider? So this is probably unfair.

1. I watched it because you posted it. Otherwise I did not know.

2. What did I feel about the trailer?

Nothing. Some action scenes (not high octane) and some sleeping scenes. It did not seem to have story (if there is one, not indicated in the trailer).

3. Will I watch it?

No. Even if it is free. Even if Ranbir/Ranveer/Sharukh/Salman/../../... acts in it.

This is the problem. A poor product, a badly cut trailer and a poor promotion,... this is what available to outsiders and audiences are challenged. Make it hit.

One may not want to risk high budget with unknown faces. I understand. At least give them good movies with some story.

I hope you are right but personally i highly doubt that. Watching a 2 minute trailer and a 2 hrs movie are two very different things. Will be happy to be proven wrong. Yes there are who are genuinely feeling upset but in my opinion most are agenda driven. Though i can be very much wrong also and will be happy to be proven wrong in this case.

Hardly more than two comments.Zee5 is full fledgedly marketing this film on social media including paid ads on insta and FB despite this film being in cans for years. You can't even blame PR now since all films are sold to OTT platforms and it is they who are gonna market the films and marketing films digitally will be stagerred.

I guess people don't even know such a teaser has been released here because they DONT WANT TO KNOW and are more interested in Kjo-Alia topics than trailer topics. If the forum that goes on and on about nepotism was even bothered about outsiders, these trailer topics would atleast have a 5 page discussion if not 25-30 like what starkid topics have.
