I just finished watching "Daasi" and it's like 50% of me thinks it a really good drama and other 50% thinks its gross...

The starting few episodes were too good, I really liked Sunehri's character and I think Mawra played it quite nicely. But I didn't like Aliya i.e. Faryal's acting at all, someone else could have played Aliya's character much better.

So basically Aahil was so angry with his mother that he left his luxurious life. But what I didn't understand was how and why did he go back to her then? Just because she rescued you from the jail. I really didn't understand that part.

Also, where did his passion for mucic go? I was really hoping that he will make a career in music in the later episodes but that never happened...

I also feel that Aliya's hatred was not justified... I really didn't find any logic in her hatred for Sunehri ...

One more thing which I extremely disliked about this drama was that it somehow promoted violence. I mean okay Aliya was wrong but that didn't give Adil any right to hit her.

Anddd, I don't know if anyone can relate or not... But... I really, really liked Mujtaba so much and I was so sad when he died. I actually liked him since the first episode and I literally thought of an alternate story where Sunehri and Mujtaba would be the couple

The ending of the drama could have been much better....

At first, I found Daasi to be a good show and it was being bashed because of the bandwagon mentality; one "big" reviewer bashes, so everyone feels that they should also hate the show. I, however, continued watching and I was enjoying the initial episodes. As far as acting goes, it wasn't really the best acting done but it depends heavily on the director. He's the one who kept making Sunehri seem so annoying when she kept referring to herself in 3rd person and stuff. Faryal didn't do all that stellar either, as you said.
The whole Aahil and his mother track seemed a bit messy towards the end but I think the biggest reason he forgave his mother was that Sunehri had convinced him to, no? They did focus on music to an extent since that other girl told him about how he could expand his career in music but that track got sidelined; it could have actually made for a really good track on the side or even a main track for a few episodes. I also found Aliya's hatred stupid.. she did nothing but hold a grudge! They showed her hate so overdramatic that at times it felt unreal, lol. And yes. I agree about the violence. It got so uncomfortable to watch after a point when he was beating Aliya in nearly every episode. I feel that they didn't have to show that as they could shown he hurt her with words, or even silence to give a good message, instead of him abusing her. I found the Mujtaba twist unnecessary. He could have become the villain or even a saviour for Sunehri, instead of having to kill him. The ending was fine. I mean I can't really think of what else they could have done for the ending. It was a happy ending for both Aahil and Sunehri, which I think everyone wanted.

Yes, Aahil and Sunehri's happy ending was wanted but I really feel Aahil's mother deserved to be punished. Like she literally commited a crime and there was a proof as well, but why didn't the police come for her. Just a few angry words from Aahil was not enough for what she did. Another thing, I really feel that Aliya didn't deserve Sunehri's forgiveness. I mean like how can she even forgive her and be like before.

I watched Daasi with lots of love, I liked the pairing of Mawra and Adil Hussain. The story was about hate com friendship com lovestory..which is my type..but sadly those triangles, and horrible twists made me hate everything about this drama. Kamran Gillani , Faryal , Hina Bayat and Adnan Jaffar were too much evils who gave left bad taste in my mouth whenever I tuned to it. And as they weren't enough they made the positive characters turn villains , first Sunehri, then Adil, then Ahil. For me only the chemistry between Mawra and Adil was the only thing I still remember from this daram.😔

Yep, Mawra and Adeel looked quite good together but the storyline, those unnecessary twists and turns just spoiled the drama. The starting few episodes were very nice but then it started going down.
