Can an African or East Asian make it big in BW ?

With so many debate abt diversity in Hollywood today , do you think Indian audience will ever accept an African or East/South-east Asian actor/actress in proper roles in BW? Now u can argue that BW is more regional and doesn’t have a global influence like HW but we do have ppl like Katrina, Jacqueline, Nora etc who are foreigners too

In countries like America among others white people are almost a minority if not they're going to be soon. They have to take in more diversity in terms of actors to represent stories that are a reflection of society. India still mostly consists of Indians. But if they need diversity for a film then why not.

Just have to learn Hindi or have their voices dubbed by someone good

Blacks, no. East Asians maybe.

No! Not even whites can( expect actress who play flower pot role in big films) but audience would not really accept a hero belonging to any other ethnicity.

A movie industry should be diverse like the region's population. America is a nation of various immigrants and races. So people expect diversity in Hollywood. No one expects Bollywood to start hiring black people, white people or other East Asian people. For now if it can just showcase the diverse talent of different regions of India, for example, Northeast India that would be enough.

East Asians look similar to north East Indians although a bit fairer . In tubelight , a north Eastern was cast as a chinese kid

Bollywood is the most racist industry so no. black people, forget it-not happening.

Well some of the actresses are not even Indian so why not. Nora fatehi is Moroccan and that is in Africa.
