If he is the equivalent of a nepokid like some accuse him of being then why was he auditioning for small roles in films? I do not deny his 3rd cousin in sonam kapoor and i do not deny he grew up in bandra and knew some industry kids, but was he able to use any of those so called connections? He was willing to star in small supporting roles just to get some work, he even went through several rounds of auditions just to bag the role of bittoo sharma in BBB. Ranveer wasn't given films, he had to audition and earn them. Before he entered films he worked at a theatre company, the owner of the company said that ranveer would do small jobs like make tea for everyone and hand out the play scripts. He made a portfolio and would take it to different casting agencies, his portfolio pics are on the internet for everyone to see, an nepo kid wouldn't have to make such a portfolio, thier name and status would get them straight into a film
Ranveer's dad is a business man, but if he was able to pay for his sons first film then why would ranveer work in a theatre company? Why would he have to audition for a small role in Patiala House just to get work? If money could get you a break in Bollywood then many other rich kids would be in the industry
like many other actors trying to get a break Ranveer auditioned, he made portfolios, he would ask people for work, he started off with theatre and became an assistant director, he worked as an AD on commercials and only by auditioning did he get the role in BBB. Anil kapoor had nothing to do with his debut, anil's own film No Problem released on the same date as BBB, that itself shows anil didn't care about ranveer's debut
