About other people doing. Again when you become a public personality you make yourself prone to criticism of all kind. Be it from looks, personality to acting .

I suggest you look into it more then. You brought up this whole dark circles and hyperpigmentation topic so I'm just educating you. There are many clinical studies performed where it proves that South Asian women are more susceptible to such conditions. ALSO, The "unattractive" photos you've posted of Sonam are paparazzi clicks caught off guard. The photos you've posted of Tripti are all photos of her well groomed and INTENTIONALLY taking them.

@Red Just because you pointed out the benefits of melanin afterwards doesn't mean what you were implying before was correct. I'm not sure you fully understand the significance of colorism in history my dear. For example,

Again I can recall plenty times people called Katrina fair as a ghost without makeup. Does that make them colorist? Is actually considered common in the USA for paler girls to need more makeup because they need color. And no one of the prettiest people I have seen without makeup is Halle Barry. I can name more African American women who look ten times better without makeup than Caucasian actresses.

@BOLD This is NOT colorism. I hope you understand that reverse racism or reverse colorism is a myth. If you go back in history, these terms were coined to describe the discrimination people faced due to the DARKER COLOR of their skin. This is literally from an online definition source and also in history that colorism " is the belief that someone with any degree of lighter complexion is considered to be more beautiful or valuable than someone with dark skin."

Fair skin is STILL considered the standard of beauty in most parts of the world.

That's equivalent to saying that "I can't be colorist because I have a dark skinned friend." I'm not sure you fully understand the significance of colorism in history my dear. For example,

Let's not do this reverse "oh, but fair skin people also face this" psychology. Fair skin is STILL considered the standard of beauty in most parts of the world. So your points are filled with a bunch of contradictions and misinformation.

No I am suggesting is that me indicating someone does not look pretty without makeup cannot label me colorist. Because people say that some don't look pretty without makeup it can be due to all sorts of reasons. It may be what you consider be the myth of reverse colorist.

Here is the definitions I found of colorist on dictionary.com

differential treatment based on skin color, especially favoritism toward those with a lighter skin tone and mistreatment or exclusion of those with a darker skin tone, typically among those of the same racial group or ethnicity.

Again is says especially it does not say always. But again I am not saying that colorism is one thing or the other. I am saying saying someone does not look good without makeup can for many different reason including acne or wrinkles which other races are more prone too. If you start associating everything with race that nitpick.

Yes dark circles maybe more common in certain races but that does not make someone who points them out racist. They are definitely prevalent in all races. In fact genetics only sometimes are the cause of them. Again certain types features are more associated with some races does that make someone racist for pointing out what they don't like about the feautures.

They can also be due to accessive alcohol use among other life style elements that play a role.

They are sometimes hereditary, but often it’s lifestyle factors that contribute to unsightly circles under the eyes. A surprising number of habits can worsen the appearance of under-eye circles, including smoking, regular alcohol consumption and not drinking enough water. Allergies and anaemia can also worsen the condition.

Because the skin is very thin under the eye, blood passing through the area shows up as a blue colour – and the thinner the skin, the more prominent the colouring.

"Dark circles can also come from alcohol, as alcohol dehydrates you so you can more easily see the vessels under the eyes," says Jaliman.

Sleep deprivation can cause your skin to become dull and pale, allowing for dark tissues and blood vessels beneath your skin to show. Lack of sleep can also cause fluid to build underneath your eyes, causing them to appear puffy. As a result, the dark circles you see may actually be shadows cast by your puffy eyelids.

Just explain to me one thing because I pointed out a flaw in Sonam that might be associated to racial genetics or a number of other factors including Caucasian genetics how does that make me colorist?
