It has been just three days since his account became memorialized. There you go screenshots and see the difference yourself how it differed time by time before. The first two screenshots are from the time when his account was not memorialized. The last screenshot is from today. In between the number of following mysteriously increased too before his account was not memorialized, but didn't take screenshot of that one, I wish I did!

Irrfan's has also been memorialized. There were no articles about it so not sure when that was done.

It was a public demise so I think Insta took the initiative to memorialize it, no? Unka bhi PR game chaalu hai that this is their tribute to him. Insta also does it for non-celebs, so maybe the application process is for them. For the celeb demises insta/fans or even CINTA can get it done I assume. Just guessing.

The number of followers can go down only if people he was following removed him from their followers list, which is super weird. No one would do that. Unless 30-40 people whom he was following deleted their accounts, one may be his sister's accnt who deleted/disabled her handles but itne saare? Seems unlikely. 😲

It might be like people r deactivating their accounts so numbers r decreasing...
