Kiara Advani was the most commercially successful actress of 2019?

Imagine if Alia was in her place -- the amount of hype she would have received, the articles written to praise her etc. etc.

But Kiara, even after 2 super-duper hits, has hardly had that kind of positive publicity. She is still a struggling actress.

Why is that?

Struggling which sense ? Didn’t she have some big film’s releasing which are now pushed back due to hiatus ? She’s a known name and face now and a top 5 probably. But it’s not like her 2019 made her no.1 cause we have to consider that before 2019 general public only knew for that orgasm gif or Cheez Badi Mast remake.

I am excited about her upcoming movie Indoo Ki Jawani. I’ll for sure pay online to watch it

First time I Noticed Kiara in a movie Fugly -2015 movie . Not many people talk about that movie but I liked the movie and Jimmy Shergil portrayed negative character with near perfection.

After that, I saw her in Dhoni in cameo, then in Kabir Singh. She is good, I liked her the most in Fugly to be honest, more than Kabir Singh, may be because of the role or something.

Haven't watched Good Newz.

She has a good line up of movies though.

Kiara has a lot of hype around her now since she had two blockbuster films in 2019 and apparently Guilty did really well on Netflix too. I'd even say Preeti was probably a career-defining role for her. She has a really promising lineup too with a good mix of big commercial films and strong roles.

Yeah in Kabir Singh she was playing a very docile, subservient sort of girl. Most modern girls won't be able to relate to such a character. But I do feel she aced it, keeping aside everything else. She's a good actress.

She has not Carried a a strong character oriented film on her own yet where she is the main lead. Alia did raazi, dear zindagi for example which put her ahead of all her contemporaries as she was able to carry a solo film on her own (despite how overrated her performances are but that’s a whole nother story). Today actresses need to not be just eye candy, they need depth and it’s almost necessary that mainstream actresses can carry a film on their own.

I do think kiara has great potential. As do many other actresses like kriti, parineeti, and others among newer actresses. Their work is still pending, there’s a lot to be seen from them. alia just got early opportunities to be in such films she has gotten and therefore the “hype.” Others like kiara need to wait for their natural profession into these opportunisties and characters just as most superstar actresses have done in the past.

Kiara is next number one.

Kiara could have been easily given a Gunjan Saxena. Kiara is 10 times a better actor than Jahnvi. Kiara needs to stop her chamchagiri and do her own thing. She is a 'threat' to Potato and Boney ki beti. Kiara can play a simpleton and also the hot diva. Quite a combination she is.
