That is a very, very horrifying thought.

But thankfully Karna did not win.

And also they would have not allowed it they only allowed all the pandavas to marry her because they were brothers but I am pretty sure they wouldn't have allowed friends and anyone else to marry her.

See considering that human beings cannot pop out of fire. Drishtdyum and drapaudi were born like how everyone else s born . Also they can't be born after the war with pandavas for a simple reason in that case the age difference between drapaudi and pandavas would have been huge plus i am sure Pandavas were not roaming around in forest for 16 17 years till drapaudi grew up to be married. So they were born before the war happened. Both of them were adopted by drapaud after he ended up losing south panchal to drona for drishtdyum to avenge his defeat and kill drona. Now the question arises that why will drona teach somebody who drapaud has adopted with a sole reason to kill. Its seems better to conclude that drapaud adopted drishtdyum because he was drona student

Dhrist came out of yagya vedi with armor and weapons. It is only possible if he was already trained. So he definetly was adopted as a trained warrior. That much is sure.

Howver the epic also states that Drona trained him knowing that he had an oath to kill him out of magnanimity of his heart.

Also there was the concept of graduation and post graduation even then

Arjuna performace was his graduation ceremony along with his brothers and kourava princes. He continued training after that with Drona for his snatakottar which is when he did the croc test and got brahmashira.

Sahadev did graduation with drona and did post graduation with brihaspati. Bhima and Duryodhan did it with Balram. Bhima immediately after rangabhoomi but Duryodhan after lakshagriha when Balram upset with Krishna goes on exile to Mithila. Dury goes there and trains with him.

Similarly Dhrist must have completed his graduation when Drupad adopted him. He then went to Drona for higher education.

Do note at this point Dhrist was no threat for Drona because Drona was enough of a guru to know that inspite of the personal training provided by him Dhrisht will not be able to take on him alone. Dhrist was not Arjun's brother in law yet. Infact Arjun had died.

Also it was a good strategy on Dron's part because Dhrisht had recieved the right to kill a brahmin but no one ever has killed their guru. Guru was considered equal to God.

Guru Hatya was something that only Dhristadyumn has done in our entire mythology. No one ever did that.

He too did that only in the war. Till then Dhrisht never in so much as raised a needle against Drona.

Not sure if they would have been allowed or not, since Dury Dushy Vikarna were brothers and Shakuni+Karna spent most part of their lives in their state. I hope they wouldn't have even if karna won

The question is still the same, why didn't Suyodhan have a normal marriage with any girl. I am feeling bad for him now

Brahmahatya was a sin at the same level as Bhruna hatya. Bhruna hatya was killing an unborn child who has no awareness. Brahmahatya was killing a scholar one who is self aware.

So no one would dare do it. That is why Kripacharya and Ashwatthama survive the war. They were attacked and disabled but never hurt fatally.

Rama had to take Agastya's help and do some puja before he could kill Ravan who was only half brahmin by birth and evil by conduct..Indra had to do severe penances to get rid of the sin of killing Vritra a brahmin again someone who was destroying life.

Even later Dhanananda does not kill chanakya a brahmin.

So Drupad goes to Upayaja who then does this yagya to get a divine sanction for Dhrishtadyumn to kill Drona without any sin to him or Drupad.

More like one specific group of brahmins led by upayaja took bribe and declared Drona criminal and gave sanction letter to Dhrist that he can kill him.

I don't believe that some Yagya made him eligible for it. Couldn't it instead be that Dhristhdhyum and Draupadi were actually Brahmins by birth and that's why Drupad adopted him so that a Brahmin killing Brahmin might not arouse Brahmhatya
