I was never interested in Kedarnath for Sara! In my country also, the news about the movie was Sara, the DAUGHTER of Saif Ali khan! Hardly there was news about Sushant! Actually I think all the news portal also buys nepotism! I'm not into off screen news much but the only news I read in the newspaper. Now when I think about it, the most of the news about Bollywood was them only! The outsiders were very less.

If that is the case, the same can be said about the likes of "struggle queen" Ananya. Chunky Pandey is barely a star. Still, Ananya got away with all the Best Debut awards for something as mindless as SOTY2. Same could be said about Varun Dhawan whose father is not a star. The fact remains that being an insider gives you an advantage and benefit. It is the access they have to luxury and visibility. Mingling with other starkids and being seen. Going to the best schools, attending high-profile parties as a kid, all helps them get these advantages. Let's not differentiate that this insider is more of an insider than this one.

The only person I think might've had limited advantage (but still had advantage compared to a complete novice outsider) is Shraddha because everyone hates her dad in the industry.

Varun Dhawans father is a big director; whose worked with all big people in the industry. He’s directed Sanjay Dutt, Kapoors, Salman Khan, etc strong connection

Ananya’s case is different yes but her parents were smart to make her friends with Suhana and the nepo girls.

Does Ishaan have “access” - yes. But he’s not a star kid. And Janhvi certainly has more clout and resources available

If working with stars or being friends with stars qualifies them to get the privilages that they do just by association, Pankaj Kapur is still a closer association to Ishaan . Shahid is obviously a star now and Ishaan's parent's are both actors themselves (who play character roles). He wouldn't be landing a solo hero A-list Dharma debut if he wasn't. Privilage is still privilage. Let's call out privlage where it is at. Still a nepo-kid by all means.

Ishaan having access to Pankaj Kapoor is not the same as Ananya having access to the Khans and other Bollywood biggies.

Pankaj Kapoor is not equal to SRK. And if he was then Ishaan wouldn’t have been chucked the way he was after Dhadak. The guy has been struggling to get work and almost did a web series before finally landing Khali Peeli.

Again yes he has access but he is nowhere near the level of Janhvi and Ananya. Let’s not forget that Ananya managed to get Taapsee thrown out of a movie - can Ishaan do that? Nope!

This is laughable. They are ALL nepo-kids. It is just Nepo kids against nepo-kids right now because there is barely a single outsider left in the new gen. So we are basically discussing which nepo-kid is more privileged than the other. They are all privilaged. Ishaan won every single debut award in the country for Dhadak (4-5 awards). Jahnvi only won 1 (Zee Cine). Yeah, I even mentioned Jahnvi benefitting from Dhadak more because Sridevi passing away that same year got her all the sympathy points.

But looking at your initial post, you put Ishaan in the same bracket as Kartik, Sushant, and Rajkumar who are literally complete outsiders and had to audition and work for everything they got. They are not the same which was my initial point.

I get what you’re saying but I still think Janhvi applied the same strategy for Ishaan. Star opposite a lesser known male actor and walk away with all the attention.

Even before Sridevi passed, all the pics we would get were focusing so much on Janhvi, the hype was always around her
