A brilliant piece of work. The writing was incredible. The story telling took me through a sort of rollercoaster that I have rarely experienced through my prior reads.
I have read a lot of stories about characters who have undergone abuse and trauma and you have depicted them I one of the finest ways I came across.
I loved the flashbacks you incorporated. They were very apt and oddly made me want more of them. I wanted to delve more into how both Arnav and Khushi how they coped immediately after the events that took place.
Khushi showcased a strength to overcome her trauma and relearn herself which doesn't come easy.
Payal was an amazing sister without which Khushi's freedom wouldn't have been made possible.
Arnav's moral compass poses a vital question, would you choose familial relations when something much bigger is at stake? And the consequences of living with such a choice be it guilt or regret.
I liked that at the end Arnav was willing to untangle the mess that his familial relations were left in rather than just deeming it a lost cause.
The ending left me wanting more, curiosity about what next. Arnav's work, Aman's future, Khushi, etc.
Overall an amazing read that left me wanting a lot more of your writing.
Loved it...

What do I say about this story except I am moved to my core ! Your ability to layer the characters and then slowly unravel them is pure genius. The maturity in writing about Khushi's abuse and authenticity is building Aman's melancholy are truly humbling.

I won't even start complimenting the narrative / writing style, etc because no amount of words will ever justify the plethora of emotions this story has stirred in me - I can only say, I am so so so glad I read it !

Few things move you where you just want to let go and be washed over - Innocence to a half-mad city, did that to me !

Thank you for such an amazing story and this wonderful experience.

Excellent story :)

Hats off to your writing

Im reading this after 2 years of completion,

Characters are so beautifully penned

Arnav Aman Lavanya - what a bonding they have, it gives a nice feeling to see them stick to each other

Arnav Anjali - the turmoil Arnav suffered in the hands of Anjali is something that can give sleepless nights in reality... Arnav is mentally strong to pull along till he left the company (ofcourse khushi helped him)

Nice to see Arnav and Anjali trying to get back forgetting what they had endured

Anjali - good that finally she realized the evil plans of Jha and sent them packing

I loved SUMAN, what a character she is !!! Be it making a cake for Arnav or giving her piece of mind to Anjali, so so so beautifully penned

Excellent character

Aman - such an adorable person, hope he too get a partner and find happiness

Payal - really strong to sense the problem in khushis married and gutsy to take police help to rescue Khushi

Lavanya- beautiful in and out

Teddy - less said the better (hope such creepy doesnt exist much in our society, if so, let ladies be strong enough to fight it out)

Khushi - such a nice person

Arnav - beautifully carved character,

Good that he found solace and happiness in Khushi

Best story RB

Enjoyed a lot

Best wishes to u

Brilliant. More to follow.

Edit:

This story made me feel a lot in a span of 2 hours, the least time I took to finish a story, apart from one of the HP books. I think it was the first or second one, can't remember.

Firstly, arnav:

Choosing between morality and family is a huge thing. it's not easy because it involves our loved once. Only a person who has been in that position can understand the predicament of someone else who goes through it. And he did make a choice, right one, but everything in his life went wrong. All because his family members always put their family before anything. Anjali was still young when it happened but his grandma? When she knew everything, even then she blamed arnav. Just wanted to blame someone for what happened except for the person responsible who were his own parents. they decided to involve themselves with illegal and unethical stuff and they decided to end their lives when it came out, none of it was arnav's fault and yet he had to endure so much. I felt so bad for him.

Khushi:

I salute her, I truly do. After being manipulated and raped like that in her marriage, it's hard to accept one's individuality. She endured soo much at thr hands of a toxic husband who appeared great on face but was a monster within. Sadly such pyschopaths exist in the society and that's why people can't guess what's simmering beneath the happy facade. I was happy that payal understood things and took matter into her hands.

Her bua belongs to one such era where women were treated like vermin and they were supposed to be happy with it. I detest such thinking. but I understand it's deeply rooted patriarchy.

To lavanya and aman: they were the steady anchor in arnav's life. I loved that no matter what feelings came in between them, it never affected their bond. Aman took arnav as and what he was. So did lavanya. Though my heart ached for Aman, but love can't be forced.

To other supporting characters,

I loved suman's steady support towards arnav and later anjali. She stayed and made sure that they rose back from hell, if it came to that.

Anjali and arnav have a long way to come to be the siblings they were growing up. Arnav is too guarded to let Anjali in easily even though he wants the affectionate care of his di. But since Anjali has understood her mistake, the day won't be far.

If you do somethhing wrong, you deal withh the consequences. That's what happened with the jhas and senior raizadas. You can't live in peace if you are minting money at cost of someone's blood. Each got what they deserved.

To arnav and khushi, I am happy that they are taking slow steps in their relationship. They are both scarred individuals and it'll take a long time before they have a proper relationship but they'll eventually reach there.

You're a brilliant story teller. Are you a writer by profession? Or a literature student? I was looking to read something angsty and this was the perfect one. Thanks for writing🙂
