The difference between sid and the two runner ups was a big one ,sid leading by more than double with both asim and sana . Asim and sana were neck to neck . The difference was in points , . In fact at time when sid was nominated , he used to get around 62% votes .
ANd I agree BB has its own followers and serial's popularity hardly matters .
I never followed BB so closely before so I have no clue how voting trends for contestants in the past worked.. but I was MIND BLOWN when I saw how Sid topped every single week and that too he was always over at least 50% of the total votes 😳 that is an insane accomplishment especially in a show where you start off as just ONE out of 13 contestants - to be able to top trends like that is crazy! Whenever he was nominated it was actually such a joke because he used to sweep the voting polls. And it definitely wasn’t only because he was a well-known celeb, that obviously helped but those kind of insane voting trends don’t come from just being popular, people went crazy over his journey. I am speaking for my own family too we were in awe of Sid from very early on. I always remember one moment from the BB Toy Factory task where Sid gave his team a pep talk saying “when we play we play to learn and we can end up losing but we win respect” - it was things like that which set him miles and miles apart from the rest. People could really relate to how real and sorted he was in the game, nothing he said or did was just for the sake of the show or because he was being filmed by cameras. People relate to that because that’s how we are in real life too, we aren’t always putting on a show (the way so many other contestants did just for attention).
