CH-15

The very next morning , Minni Neil and the entire crew board the flight and by the evening they reached Delhi back from Mysore.

Minii kept stealing glances from Neil throughout the journey making Neil more vulnerable of his decision to confess his feelings.

As soon as the reached the airport, Minni quickly booked a cab and left without even greeting anyone as if avoid anymore interactions with Neil. Though Preet and Mickey insisted her alot to stay a while longer for the planned dinner in the restaurant yet she denied reasoning that she is quite tired and need a sound sleep.

Neil along with the finally reached a restaurant for supper after such a tiring journey. They chilled out, reminiscing the memories they made there when someone reminded them of the ball eve and there struck a thought in Neil's mind...

"What if she leaves me ?" Making Neil more restless.

Though he had already made it clear to her that he don't need any answer yet deep in his heart he longed for her love. He wished crossing his fingers that someday she just come out of her shell and confess her heart out for him. But would she? What if she runs away as she always do? What if she leaves him forever after this one sided confession. These all questions kept sinking his heart down.

"What's wrong?", Asked Mickey noticing his pale face since morning.

"Nothing much. U say?", Neil said trying to act normal.

"Stop lying", he confronts.

"What would I lie to you", Neil said without looking at him.

"Come on. Did she accept?", Mickey asked directly.

Neil's eyes widened wondering how come he knows when all of a sudden Mickey began laughing harder.

"Kidding", he finally said "I know you aren't that smart", he said sarcastically.

"What if I say...I am", Neil smirked.

Mickey gulped a pulse down. His eyes widened.

"Did u Actually proposed her", he asked in shock while putting stress on his words.

Neil just winked at him in return.

For a moment, Mickey couldn't believe his ears.

"When? How?...", He started putting questions after questions.

" In the ball itself", Neil smirked.

"Did she accept?", He asked in wonderment.

Neil's lips quirked downwards in disappointment.

"I know she won't. Though I'VE already told her that I don't want any reply.. yet... yet I can't help to expect....I m...I..", Neil tried to complete his words but then sorrow filled his soul.

Mickey kept looking at him.

His ears still couldn't believe what they just heard.

He had been least expecting it so early yet he was delighted somewhere in his heart for his friends and quite proud on Neil's plunge.

"But she hasn't said a no yet", Mickey tried to pour some hope in his heart.

"And she hadn't said a yes yet", Neil argued back.

"Nor a no", Mickey argued back.

"Worthless", said Neil and turned away.

"Well I thought u had the key of her heart but...", Said Mickey looking at his arm.

This grabbed Neil's attention and he quickly turned towards him.

"What you guys thought... We won't get to know about your secret tattoos?", Smirked Mickey.

All that Neil could do was to blush profusely.

Mickey's words pulled his heart's strings. A ray of hope penetrated from his heart to his soul and to his mind.

"Well...so... What's the plan for...?"Mickey left the sentence incomplete anticipating that Neel might have understood.

"For?", Neel questioned back confusedly

"For...", Sad Mickey insisting him to recollect.

"For day after tomorrow"hinted Mickey.

"I'm not getting it"side Neel irritably.

"It's her birthday ...u stupid... What kind of a boyfriend you are.... Surely this is why she has not accepted it yet", teased Micky.

All that Neil could do was to stare him in wonderment.

"Yeah...I remember" side Neil quickly recollecting.

"So mr. Careless boyfriend. You should thank me. .... I saved you", teased Mickey.

Neil just elbowed him in return.

"Fine... I may not come to office tomorrow. So kindly manage."informed Neil.

"But ....why?"

Asked Mickey.

Neil just winked at him in respond.

On the other hand was Mini totally engrossed in thoughts. Though she came back early get faild to get Rid of Neil and his thoughts.

Every fibre of a body felt like to shout at the top of the world that she loves him too but a part of her kept holding her feelings back.

After hours of struggle of finding a comfortable position to sleep she finally got up and pulled the drawer beside her bed.

She took hee blue diary in her hands as feeling its torn yellow crinkled pages and all placed where Neil had ever touched to when it was with him.

She then took a blue pen and trailled off one more wish form the list.

• attend a ball.

Her eyes then landed on other wishes oh hers and she realised that she has already lived most of them with Neil.

~1) Get a tattoo~

2) Sleep under stars

~3) Explore the city when everyone else is asleep~

~4) attend a ball.~

~5) Attend a pool party~

6) Read a banned book

~7) witness rain of stars~

8) witness sunset on a cliff

~9) Kiss someone I don't love~

10) Do something most unexpected

She thought about other four wishes and how would Neil fulfill them too.she kept imaging about the various ways how she live them with Neil when suddenly guilt seized her heart again. Neil's pious love began making her guilty and restless. She cursed her fate and wondered how unfortunate she is that she couldn't even confess her feelings even when the only love of her life uttered his out in front of her. She felt selfish. She felt guilty for Neil's constant efforts to quirk her lips into a joyous smile, his efforts to fulfill all her wishes selflessly and in return she rewarded him with disappointment, hurt and agony. She cursed herself. But yet the question remained the same.."WILL SHE GIVE UP HER FEARS FOR NEIL?"

The next day arrived with sun shining brightly amidst the clouds .

Minni somehow reached the office already confused whether to hand over the resignation letter to Neil or not. she kept looking at the letter kept in her purse every now and then. A part of a heart and her dancing eyes kept glancing at the door of Neil's cabin but to her surprise she did not found any glimpse of him. "He hasn't come to the office."said Preet mockingly.

Mini sighed in sorrow. a part of her was happy that she don't have to face Neil after that proposal but every fibre of her body craved to see him.

Half of the day passed making Minni more restless.

Minii decided to concentrate on her work to get rid of his thoughts and soon got sank in her work.

Though she was engrossed in her work yet subconsciously her eyes kept looking at Neil's cabin which made of the senior crew member quite irritated. Just one tiny mistake of hers and he taunted her fuming her blood up.

"Mind your own business Mr.khatri", Mini requested on being taunted about her relationship with Neil.

"Only if you mind your work well", he said in anger.

"What do you think... Since you have become special for Neel sir you have all the rights for such acts.", He said.

Minni gulped a sob down.

"It's none of your business. It's you who is bringing personal stuffs in professional arena not me...", glared Minni. She herself why shocked for a second at her behaviour. In her entire life she has never spoken to anyone in such a loud voice. But today she didn't bear it. Mini was astonished on her plunge, her courage and confidence she was feeling for the first time. But before she could figure out anything the man in front of her spoke.

"Oh please. M/s Mini. The entire knows about it."

Mini was about to reply back when all of a sudden prit and micky came into the scene.

"So what. Who the hell are you you to opinionate. "Said Preet in anger and began lecturing him on his deeds. Mickie joined her too. They both kept arguing. Mickey tried to calm the situation down but not at the cost of letting Mr. Khatri win.

Mini stayed stunned for while... totally speechless. She has never event dreamt that apart from her parents and family she will never find someone who will stand by her no matter whether she is wrong or right who is in front of them... what the situation is... All they know id 'Mini' and suddenly the world didn't matter.... Tears rolled down her eyes... Friends.. for the first time in her life just the meaning of the term 'friends'. The ones who stays by you no matter what. For the first time a strange mixed feeling surfed her heart and to her surprise delighted her.

For the first time in these days she thanked her destiny , her decision and her fate for all these love it showering on her. The first time she actually knew the meaning of love taught by Neil and friendship by Preet and Mickey. Both selfless . Both unconditional.

A wave of nostalgia surfed through her mind. She remembered her first day when she had met all the three . Everything began flashing in front of her eyes.

How neil has always selflessly fulfilled all her wishes. How he has been there for her always. How unconditional his love has been to her always. How he had done everything to make her happy and never expected anything in return. How preet has always helped whether its in adjusting in the new city or in the new office. Whether its getting her dressed perfectly. Nomatter how much they have teased her at Neil's name but when time arrived it was just them standing by her support. She remembered

How Mickey has always listened to her and as always given her perfect advice though she listened to him. How much effort Mickey and preet had put to bring Mineil close in Mysore during their fight.

Tears kept rolling down her eyes.

She cursed for

not telling them about her wishlist, about Neil , about everything. She cursed herself for not giving them the places they deserve, for not keeping Mickey and Preet on her toplist and rewarding Neil with such agony that he didn't come today.

"How selfless the all have been and how selfish I am ... That just for the sake of this mythic reputation...for my own fears I was hurting them all specially the only love of my life. I was letting them go. Such a fool I am"Mini cursed herself.

Her heart felt so light. She felt as if she has found those wings she has been craving for. Those actual wings. She was engrossed in her thoughts when

Suddenly she heard someone arguing mockingly in anger bringing her back from her world. It was Mickey.

"Stop initiating such rumours,

Mr. Khatri. Its just you conservative mindsets because of whom the entire atmosphere gets filthy", alleged Mickey.

Minni stepped ahead. She quickly wiped her tears rolling over her cheeks , moved closer to Mickey and Preet and put her hand on Mickey's should as if insisting him to stop. Mickey turned half around and looked at her. Neil's description about Minni began running in his mind. "A mountain in a stormy night" ...he remembered and today for the first time he saw that..an emerging strong mountain capable to fight alone the stormy disastrous night ...he saw it in her brown soulful eyes that had already turned red with rage.

"I apologise for my mistake Mr. Khatri. But you no one to comment on someone's life. So kindly mind your own business or else....I've all the rights to complaint against you. ", Mini stated.

Mr. Khatri gulped down at her stare. He then turned around in embarrassment.

"And yes.." he turned back

".love is a crown of Honor", said Mini.

He again turned around and soon disappeared.

Mickey and Preet came closer and the trio hugged with Mini's eyes already filled with fresh tears. Soon Minni took the resignation letter out of her bag and tore it in front of everyone in complete attitude. It seemed as if the letter or the idea to stay away from Neil was burning from the rage in her eyes.

Soon the day passed though Minni was still engrossed in the thoughts of the incident that occurred. Mickey and Preet had tried their best but failed.

Preet saw Mini's pale face. She was about to go to her when Mickey stopped.

"Let her spend some time with herself. Afterall today she has finally found herself back", said Mickey.

Preet couldn't say further but a part of her craved to go to console her.

"Maybe she needs time for the key to unlock her", he said.

"It has already unlocked her heart", said Preet smiling.

Suddenly a notification pops up over Mickey's phone and his face lits up seeing it.

"Whoaaa!!

"What?" Asks Preet.

"Well....Neil has assigned us a task", he informed.

"What?" Asked Preet already confused.

Mickey just gave her a meaningful glance in return and Preet replies back with the same smirk.

"Plan?", Asked Preet.

"I don't know. He has just asked me to bring Minni on the cliff near his farm house", said Mickey.

Preet exchanged a meaningful glance and A wordless conversation begins in their eyes.
