My pet peeve re: MBh names is when people claim Panchali = woman with 5 husbands.

I even saw an idiotic meme which said if one of the Pandavas died before her, Panchali would become Charlie I mean, really!

Just in case someone here thinks that...

Sita = Mythili = woman from Mithila

Krishnaa = Panchali = woman from Panchal

I have read kmg version and most of parth word refer to arjun because of his skill as well by birth also

Arjun has at 14 names in which parth is also name of arjun

Here parth has two meaning regarding arjun

First meaning is pritha son

Second meaning one who never miss target

And neither bheem name is parth, and nor yudhistar name is parth

Panchal was a kingdom. Not a clan. It is true the kings were called Panchalas. But that was for the same reason Panchali got her name - from the kingdom, not the clan.

Clan wise, Drupada descended from Ajamidha through his son Nili while Kurus descended also from Ajamidha via Dhumini

From a stupid baby naming page Parth means Archer so it is Arjun's name.

I was exasperated before but now I am dying of laughter. .parth means archer and Draupadi with three husbands will be Teeli....

With two husbands will she be Doli and if Just Yudhi's wife

Then Ekli. Would people get confused then that she is Eklavya's sister Ekli, come for revenge fOr taking Eklavya's 👍

I don't know how it is said parth has no meaning

Even kaushalya ( ram mother) this kaushalya derived from his father name. But still kaushalya has also meaning it means ability, skill

At least I have check many sections of kmg where yudhistar generally refer as ajat shatru dharma and yudhistar and bheem is mostly refer as bheem and vikodara

And arjun mostly refer as arjuna, dhananjaya and parth

I would like to see a citation from a reliable source for Parth meaning One Who Never Misses Target. No blog articles or Wiki articles. Actually citation from texts. Another option is to provide word breakdown in Sanskrit, explaining exactly how the word Parth relates to archery or targets.

Virat Parva. He calls himself Partha Arjuna but does NOT list it as one of his names because it is not. It is a descriptor of whose son he is which fits 2 of his brothers. That's it! Ie, he is saying I am Arjuna, son of Pritha, and these are my 10 names.

And If we check English word too then most of English word derived from Greek and Latin word but every has meaning

Break it down in Sanskrit and explain to us how Parth relates to archery or targets

Like conFORMity relates to root word form. Breakdown Parth in Sanskrit, please.

I feel like this karma biting me for all the trolling I ever did 😆.
