Chapter 6

Moloy Basu surprised me a lot. I wasn't expecting anything like this from any member of Basu Family. Would be interesting to know why he is such an exception in the entire family. I mean he was happy when Bajaj told them about Sneha's birth.

Well as per my last ff from where I am continuing I have written that Rishab had went and told the enitre truth to Moloy and he was regretful. He even believes Sneha to be Anurag and Prerna Child but since his son is not ready to believe he cannot do anything about it. He had even blessed Prerna and Bajaj relationship. My Reason for having this window was because Moloy was always a good person at heart its his wife that is the problem.

Now about about Bajaj going to Anurag for donor match. When I read for the first time it didn't settle down well because as a reader we already have a few expectations and it can over ride a writer's pov. Words can be interpreted differently. Also I haven't seen S1 so I can't imagine Bajaj-Sneha relationship. I have not created any liking for Rishabh-Sneha relationship from the show yet because they didn't show anything and it will be very hard to overpower Kukki-Rishabh because their bonding was the best till date in the show. In fact I liked grown up Kukki (uptil now) in the show more than Sneha. So these prejudices also lead to me thinking that why did he even go to Basus.

I am not trying to follow S1 relationship but I feel that even with the leap that they have done in current show Bajaj and Sneha can have a very heart to heart relationship. Two people wronged no parents growing up alone against the world when they don't need to be it their fate that destroyed them. They can understand each other and that is why I am trying to show that Rishab sees Sneha in him. A kid wronged by his father alone deprived of love

But after reading the following conversations where you have explained your thought proc.ess I read it again with your pov as a writer in my mind. And then I understood that you did this to show how and to what extent he can go when it comes to his family. He kept Bajaj at the backfoot and let Risbabh take over in that moment for his little girl. Perspective changed as I stepped into your shoes.

Its a transplant you need the parents it had to be Prerna or Anurag and that is why Rishab didn't even consider him or Kukki at first. Yes he could have forced the basus manipulated them done a deal but it would have taken time which he didn't have and there would have been a window of error and that could have costed her life. So he did what had to done the safest way possible. Plus he asked once rest if any issues he would have done the deed.

He even manipulated Komolika. I always imagine Hina Khan wali komolika when I read yours:)

As mentioned as guess in my last comment fortunately Anurag didn't end being a match. Agar wo save karta Bajaj ki newborn ko to faltoo mein ehsaab ho jata uska.. glad aisa kuch nahi hua.

Trust me I know that is also one reason to show Rishab going to the Basus,because had he attacked they might have had an upper hand as what deal do you offer for a small kids life. The Basus would have been more insufferable but this way he is the bigger person. He has the upper hand.

Now I have to read the next one.. though I would loved for Bajaj to be the match but Kukki it is, it seems..

Yup kukki it is. He did all this for her and now life has come a full square back to him.

It was weekend had time and plus this one I had written both almost together as they go with the flow and then divided them into chapters. So the next one I haven't even started yet.

Chapter 8 – The afternath

The next 3-4 weeks went out in blur.

Week 1 – This week was hardest for Prerna and Rishab as these days were most critical. If the liver started to re grow perfectly no issues but there could be so many complications. Rishab was usually with Sneha and Prerna with kukki. Rishab had made arrangements that Kukki stayed with Prerna in same room. Kukki would sometimes wake up in night with pain and Prerna will sleep beside her singing beautiful songs and prayers. Everyday Rishab would come in odd hours of night to check on them and found them asleep.He will make sure that everything was ok and with a relief leave not knowing that Prerna was never asleep but waiting for him to join them. Exactly like when prerna would go to the Nicu to see Sneha and see Mr Bajaj sitting beside her incubator his back to the glass. She would just watch both of them together and leave not knowing that Mr bajaj knew everytime she was there and was waiting for her to come in.

Week 2- It had gotten better as they were past the complications and it was just the recovery. Prerna was also discharged but she stayed in hospital almost all day with kukki and sometimes with Sneha. Mr Bajaj and Prerna had started taking turns with Kukki and Sneha but there was an unforgivable silence between them. Prerna didn’t argue with him didn’t call him Rishab. She didn’t even fight with him on any matter. It was almost as if they both had worn the mask of Mr and Mrs bajaj and none was ready to leave it. Whatever he said she agreed. Mr bajaj knew it was her manner to show anger and for now he just didn’t have the strength to fight to discuss to make accusations. They were both stressed tired and on the edge. But they missed each other they wanted to talk to each other needed each other’s support but none was able to say so.

Moloy Basu had come to meet Prerna and her daughters. Moloy basu was with Sneha in NICU. He was talking with Prerna and MrBajaj was watching them from outside. Just then Anurag came from behind and stood near Mr Bajaj.

“As you sow so shall you reap isn’t it” Anurag. MrBajaj just smiled.

“Jo Kisi aur ka pyaar cheenle use kabhi pyaar nahin milta Mr Bajaj” Anurag and Mr Bajaj just lost control the weeks of extertion,pain,sleepless nights took its toll.

“You know what Mr Basu I am done. Cheena maine aapse Prerna ko mujhe jo sahi laga maine kiya na mujhe tab dar tha aur na ab uske consequences se hain. Jo hoga dekh lunga bharosha hain mujhe khud par apne pyaar par apni mehnat par apne decisions par. Aapko hain ya tha Prerna par aapke pyaar par apne aap par. meri galti ginwane se aapki kam nahin ho jayengi. Atleast I take the toll of my decisions don’t blame others. So back off and I AM DONE” Mr Bajaj shouted and turned around and found Prerna with Mr basu

“Chale Anu? Take care of them Mr Bajaj” And blessed Prerna and they left from there.

After sometime Prerna also left and the fact that she didn’t say anything or react hurt like hell.

Week 3 –

Mr Bajaj had started going to the office and they stayed alternate nights at hospital as both girls were better and were just staying at hospital for being on safe side. Mr Bajaj had insisted that only he will remain at night but Prerna had refused point blank. For the first time Prerna’s stubbornness made him happy.

Prerna was walking along trying to look at some reports when she stumbled upon Komolika and Anurag.

“Prerna Hello! How is your daughter?” – Komolika

“She is fine. Thank you” prerna. Anurag made an excuse just left from there. Komolika followed Prerna.

“you must be so happy Prerna I mean jis Mr Bajaj ki jaan basti hain Kukki main unhone apni beti ko risk main dala tumhare beti ke liye. He must love you so much”

“What do you want Komolika?”

“Par itna khush hone ki zaroorat nahin hain. MrBajaj mujhse milne aaye the tumhari beti ke liye taki mai Anurag ka pata bata do and himself told me Ki who kukki ke liye natak kar rahin hain. All he cares about is Sneha as he doesn’t want an innocent child to die. Kya kaha tha tumne mujhse Mr Bajaj ke pyaar ne. Yeh pyaar nahin hain Prerna guilt hain only guilt”

“What do you want Komolika?”

“Tum sirf Kukki ke liye thi, uske liye laye the aur jab usne kaha tumhe chodne wale the hain na”

Prerna was shocked that Komolika knew about this as nobody else except her and Mr bajaj knew but she had learned her lesson before so

“What do you want Komolika?”

“Wow nice improvement I must say. You have learned a lot from your husband. Just do me a favor jab who tumse tang aakar tumhe chodde to Anurag ke paas roti mat aana. Anurag ke liye tum kuch nahin hoon.Remember that”

“If you are so sure why are you asking me for this? Oh,Anurag ko kuch pata chal gaya so that you are thinking he will come running after me. Get off my face and get lost.” and fuming komolika left from there angry.

Prerna went home that night to freshen up and sleep.Mr Bajaj would be going to hospital now. As usual she went into study and found a glass of drink empty. Unknown to her MrBajaj was deliberately leaving a glass like that so that he will scold shout do anything but no response and same for today also. She was having dinner and Mr Bajaj was leaving. “Komolika se mili thi main, very nice conversation you have had with her I must say” Mr Bajaj just left and Prerna left her plate as it is and went to the room.

Week 4

Like every night Mr bajaj had come to check on them.He was about to leave when Kukki called out and signalled to sleep with them.Mr Bajaj slid beside her for some time and once she was asleep got up to leave.

“Please don’t drink so much at home.”

He saw that Prerna was awake and he waited for along time hoping to hear something more from her but she didn’t say anything and he left.

Kukki had started insisting that she wants to meet Sneha. So Prerna took Kukki to Sneha in a wheel chair but she was not in her incubator. They were about to leave when Mr Bajaj turned around just in time and today, he was holding Sneha in his arms for the first time. She was smiling and Mr Bajaj was making small sounds when Mr Bajaj saw Kukki and Prerna there.He took Sneha near Kukki and she started making he same noises as well. Then both of them started pointing their fingers to Prerna and The sight became too much and she left from there.

Kukki was surprised – “What did you do?” When Rishab didn’t say anything

“Fix it. Sneha will get tensed so fix it” and went ahead with playing with her sister

The doctor had called Mr Bajaj to tell that both kids are doing great and they will realease them by Monday. But Mrs Bajaj health was not ok and she was taking too much stress and she is very weak. She needs to take care of herself or she will get sick. Mr Bajaj had had enough and he bombarded into Kukki’s room where she found Prerna alone.

“Aap ghar ja rahin hain. Aapki halat theek nhin hain aapko rest ki zaroorat hain.”

“Main apni bachiyon ko chodkar kahin nahi ja rahin”

“Main teen bacho ko nahin sambhal sakta. Insaan hoon raham kijiye mujh par please”

“Kisne kaha aap insaan hain aap to bhagwan hain superhero hain sabki zindagi ka faisala karte hain. Meri Kukki Sneha”

“Kis baat se naraz hain aap ki maine apni bachi ki zindagi bachaayi. Ki maine unke liye ek practical decision liya “

“Is baat se ki who meri bhi beti hain aur apne uski life ko risk main dala. Mujhe pucha bhi nahin bataya bhi nahin. Decision aapke akele ka nahin tha”

“Aap le paati yeh decision nahin boliye le pati aap.Nahin le pati aankhon par pati bandh ke rakhi hain apni khudki insecurities ki aur ab maine decision liya hain to Apni dono betiyon ko bachane ka ilzam laga rahin hain mujh par. Saja de rahin hain mujhe”

“Maine koi ilzaam nahin lagaya aapne ilzam lagaya hain apne upar ki apne meri aur Sneha ki zindagi barbad kar di ki aapki wajah se hamare saath yeh sab ho raha hain. Guilt bhar ke rakha hain aur uski saja ke naam par jo man main aaye kiya ja rahin hain. Bachpana main nahi aap kar rahinhain. Is tarah Kukki ki life ko kaise risk main dal sakte hain aap”

“Kukki meri beti hain main jo chahe karo, you have no”

“Mr Bajaj” Mr Mehra.

“Ruk kyun gaye finish kijiye na. Please finish it”
