Don’t know he looked always dead to me with every gf when they were clicked.He looks happy if actors/directors and ayan is around.

Ranbir is most happy with Ayan. After him may be Katrina, then Deepika and then Alia.

But it looks like he is going to marry Alia. But if this doesn't work out, I really wish Alia dumps him and Ranbir comes clean on Ayan.

Ranbir is like that high schooler who crushes on the new hot girl in town and gets infatuated and then calls it love. He just never grew out of that phase. He is always with the new it girl in town

Alia better beware as she is nothing compared to Deepika and Katrina( looks wise atleast)

As for the other three, if by being happiest you mean being most "in love", probably Kat. But I doubt he has ever come close to fully devoting himself in a relationship.

With Deepika, it was highschool/college romance. Both grew a crush on each other, got together. I don't think he ever had any deep emotions for her; they were also very young when they started out. Also, towards the end of the relationship I am pretty sure he was starting to get irritated by her clingy nature.

Like many other guys during the 2007-2012 era, Ranbir was also a bigtime Katrina fan-boy who was smitten by her looks and charisma. So when he got a chance to work with her on screen, he put all his charms to good use and succeeded in landing her. Katrina herself was also smitten, because yeah RK can be very charming when he wants to and I think this was Kat's first proper relationship after whatever weird thing she had going on with Sallu.

However once their honeymoon phase ended, all kinds of issues started to surface: the biggest one being Ranbir's family being totally disapproving of their relationship, Kat's frustration at not getting the kind of commitment she expected from a relationship she had invested so much time in, and of course Ranbir's inherent commitment phobia. The relationship sadly didn't work out in the end.

Coming to Alia. Ranbir's situation is not the same as it was 10 years ago. He is still a big star, but he is also aging, doesn't have any children yet and most women closer to his age are married, hooked up, knocked up. His family also realizes that. So when fair-skinned, insider, current top star, 20-something Alia came along they advocated for this match heavily. Ranbir obliged and tbh the relationship benefits both of them. For Ranbir, it helps him maintain the tag of being the charmer who manages to land all these successful top BW actresses. For Alia, she gets to be the real life fairytale protagonist who "fixed" the Casanova prince.

All said and done, I think he is "choosing" to love Alia, as opposed to how he "fell" in love (or lust) with the other two. And life decisions taken from the head usually bring more stable results than those taken from the heart or loins 😉.

Ps- Alia has started behaving like a proper Kapoor bahu now, so if Ranbir ends up messing this up uski toh dhulai hogi 😆

I dont remember the timeline but RS and DP were shooting for RL in 2013... Anu n RS had a fling in 2010-11.

Pretty good analysis. I was wondering the other day what if Ranbir breaks up with Aalia? I think everyone will turn up against Ranbir (not that he didn't get flak for breaking up with Deepika and Katty) but the way Aalia has portrayed herself as a adarsh, sanskari girlfriend/would be bahu..she has completely changed her image from being a boyfriend stealer to the best girlfriend ever 😆 Ranbir ki lagne wali hain if he breaks up with her.. the kind of bad press he'll get will be beyond repair.

Apart from Ayan (best friend?) and Neetu (his mum and idol), Ranbir looked happiest with Katrina and I really think they broke up because of Neetu (who thought Katrina is a kainchi rather than a sui), and because of his commitment phobic nature (having seen his parents bicker every day - it takes a toll on one). The Jagga interviews had so much underlying tension that was visible on both sides and Katrina was really broken down by the breakup.

Deepika and him - essentially he wanted to be with the top heroine when he started as it helps with PR etc and he must have been attracted to her too. When he realised she was way more serious than he was (see Sajid Khan’s interviews in 2008/2009 with both RK and DP - he says marriage much later and DP is like I want to get married right now), he moved on mentally and it’s obvious because he was def not as emotionally invested as she was. They have this passive aggressive relationship where they aren’t friends anymore but they know their jodi works so they still work together, albeit all the sarcasm and pretending to love each other (DP’s constant digs such as ‘Ayan is the only constant’ and even revealing RK-Alia wedding on Roundtables reflect that) so the relationship stuff is def all over.

The thing with Alia is that Neetu approves (industry insider and ‘controllable’ sui bahu versus the kainchis that she thinks DP and Kat are), and now since his dad has passed, it becomes a lot of pressure on Ranbir to get married. Age is also a big deal here, he’s pushing 38 and not getting any younger. So while he may not be into Alia as much as he was into Kat, it works for the long run. Also now that he is the man of the house and is stepping up to his responsibilities, I think he will go through it just for the sake of it... and prob wander to get his heart’s fill.

Haha +1 to everything you have written, I didn’t read what you posted or else would not have bothered writing my last post - you’ve written everything I wanted to write in a much better way.

Agree with the last part too, Alia has really gone out of her way to make this perfect bahu image stick. Hopefully she gets what she’s looking for, it’s going to be a tough ride.

Why do all the girls always jump thru hoops to impress Ranbir ?.... Deepu got a tattoo.... Katrina became a fitness freak and Alia trying to be a bahu from Ekta’s serials.
