-ghatto- I think he's not considered mainstream but his depiction of TV bothers me, he's not given enough credit.

Amba often doesn't get much sympathy from people for being wronged, which is a shame. Particularly this serial which gave Bheeshma a pass. Although I recall once seeing a play decades ago about Amba, which ended w/ her self immolation so that she didn't waste time waiting for her rebirth.

Ghatto gets credit from people - he is a hero - but serials tend to gloss over his contribution. The fairest to him was Ramanand Sagar's Shri Krishna

@Nora - come to StarBharat forum. Your love for Dhrist will be accepted. Also the Dhritarashtra there was so hot. Very wrong move to cast him for such a spineless character. 😒😂😂😂

You should have given her a link to the forum - she won't find StarBharat anywhere 😆

Anyway, here it is

ETA. I am very supportive of gay rights, so above was not meant as a slight. Moreover, I find Krishna one of the most accepting men in the history of the universe, and I doubt he'd have minded.

If I get reported/banned for this post, so be it.

@ bold. which scene are you talking about?

Ive heard of a scene where krishna lights candles or decorates the room for arjun to lessen his emotional pain which was after abhimanyu vadh i think. Now if anyone does that in todays time it will definitely been seen as gay.😆

ive also read the same interpretation where some people have seen their relationship as romantic. but i think that is because we are conditioned to see in certain ways as to how a Man -man relationship of friendship should be. or that the tenderness and deep love and care is limited only to romantic relationships.

Do you know of queer platonic relationships where the relation is just like life partners but without romantic attraction being involved. I see Madhav - Parth relation as something on those lines. They clearly had a deep platonic attraction going on and even aesthetic attraction too.

Others can have their own interpretation. Nothing wrong in that. And i do agree Krishna was most accepting & challenged old traditions. even Arjun was for that matter and both have taken forms of women one time or the other.

I know that was not your intent, but I'd like to make it clear shipping arguments are not my cuppa tea. If Krishna and Arjuna were gay, good for them. If they weren't, still good for them.

My only requirements from any romantic relationship in MBh or otherwise are that they be between consenting adults and be positive. That is why I hate Palace of Illusions... an assaulter with the survivor 🤢.
