Was Bombay Velvet really that bad?

I've never seen the movie, but hearing the songs (I live jazz!) And watching some clips of it , I feel like he movie was unfairly panned. It looks like an epic venture with great acting from everyone! I understand this probably would've done well if it was considered an "art" film, but why do mainstream Indian audiences only like masala films and not something different?

The movie was the worst.

I didn't like anything, not a fan of Anushka Sharma so I am not going to talk about her at all. But I always like Ranbir onscreen, but he could have done better ( performance wise too) you will not believe me but half through the movie, I seriously thought Besharam is better( just how crazy I am 🤦😑). It gave me a headache too.

Yes it was really bad.

I'm a sucker for those kind of noir movies with vintage feels tbh, so I personally liked it. It's not at all a light movie that has repeat value but KJo was hilarious as Khambatta though 😆
