No matter what the distortions, no matter the liberties taken, BRC Mahabharat will be my favorite version of all times. Watched it as a kid initially, to have watched it numerous times throughout the years ji. These actors lived the characters, to the point that Nitish B was Krishna for me as a kid. Tell me otherwise, and I would cry.
Growing up, I got more familiar with the story; learning about distortions and liberties ji. However, whenever I watch this, I still just get lost in the magic. Later on technology advanced, but newer versions always looked fake. Newer versions just came across as actors acting a part. The war scenes, no matter how much tech driven, looked really fake.
No one can ever match Yeh Dharam Yudh entry to the war. The inevitable that was to come, something you see being laid out in each episode, still when you get there, you want it to not happen. Every time Abhimanyu is killed, I still have myself hoping Arjun may come ji. Pitama being shot at to Duryodhan's end; still gets me.
So I'm really thankful for BR Chopra for bringing one of the the greatest historical stories to life. This brought me closer to my grandparents, and allowed me to carry this love forward to learn more ji.
Kya bacchon ki tarah ro raha tha Arjun
, I was all emotional😒 at Bhishna's departure untill he started bawling "Main aapko jaane nahi doonga pithamah "🤪-Really😲 ,toh pithamah permanently arrow bed pe soyenge-planning kya hai Arjun ki🤪..

Dhritrashtra, Vidura, Gandhari, Kunti, numerous sages and the subjects of Hastinapur attended Bhishma's funeral to watch him for the last time.
Still, I love the ending despite its limitations. ❤️
After setting the base, this Mahabharata begins with Devavrat turning into Bheeshma and finally ends with his mukti.

This show was completely from the Point of view of Bheeshm. He was the lead character. Even after his fall, every episode had someone or other visiting him. And he giving them pep talks
This was the undoubtedly the best of all Mahabharat tv versions👍🏼 . I wish DD had sanctioned more episodes and we could watch till pandavas swargarohan..Originally posted by: Wistfulness

Indeed. Even before the fall there were so many monologues expressing his state of mind, apprehensions, and sorrows.Originally posted by: FlauntPessimism
