Why did Bala work?

Bala to me, is an extremely average movie. Ujda Chaman, which explores the same theme, is a much better movie. Why do you feel it made 100 crores at the box-office?

I watched it a few weeks ago and I won't call it average. It was funny, I connected with the story and sympathized with the characters. I have suffered from phases of underconfidence because of certain aspects of my looks. It took me quite a few years of reflection to come to terms with it.

Bala sends out the best message for people who are in the same situation: that we should love ourselves and try to be happy, instead waiting for others to see us for what we are and love us. At the same time we cannot judge others for having beauty preferences.

A much needed message for a world full of people suffering from inferiority complex because of their looks.

Agreed. Bala was stupid and boring. UC was a good film.
