Masand: SRK rejected Hirani's 2 Hero Film with Salman. Want Solo Movie

Apparently, Hirani is still working on the script with his regular collaborator Abhijat Joshi. Trusted sources have revealed that the Munna Bhai franchise director originally had a two-hero project in mind that he wanted to make with SRK and Salman Khan. But Shah Rukh was reportedly keen on doing a solo-starrer, so it was back to the drawing board for the filmmaker.

Good decision.

As a Srk hater it will be easy to mock him. But if you look from his perspective...Such movie would have obviously been a blockbuster, but considering his rough phase, despite supposedly being king of Bollywood for so long, the entire credit of success would have been given to Salman. Which is obviously not true... Srk would have an equal part to play.

Srk has a Rough phase now, so did Salman once upon a time.

I don't mind that he didn't want a 2 hero film, but until SRK learns to trust the script as written by those whose expertise it is to write and not interfere, he simply won't find the success he's looking for.

There were enough reunions of these oldies that people don't care anymore seeing them on-screen together. Lena hai toh Kjo ko le lo as your circuit... movie blockbuster ho jawegi.
