Aishwarya or Deepika

Deepika obvs, no competition. But I'm biased af so I voted for Ash 😆

Deepika is 5.5/10. Ash is 6.5.

Ash is the queen of period films (Jodhaa Akbar, Guru, Devdas, Chokher Bali). She excels at dramas (Raincoat, Provoked, Kandukondain, HDDCS, Taal, Guzaarish). She is weak at comedy.

Deepika does very well in roles where characters have energy and spunk (Cocktail, Chennai Express, YJHD, Ram Leela, Piku). She sucks in period/drama/serious films, very blank faced with one-note dialogue delivery.

Deepika is the better actress by a country mile.

Deepika. Marginally.

Post her 2013 success, people kind of overhyped her acting talent. She made a gorgeous padmaavati but omg what terrible dialogue delivery and those diseased watery eyes 😡... I haven't seen her latest Chapaak but she seemed totally average in it. I don't see her taking up any interesting roles ahead. She seems happy being a homemaker.

Aishwarya is just SHRILL onscreen. She is arguably regarded as the best Bhansali "heroine" but can I make an argument that she is not all that? She just exuded this loudness in her two most iconic characters paro and nandini, and IMO didn't really look all that pretty, way too caked up and decked up IMO.

However, I did really enjoy her act as Saba in Adhm. I wasn't expecting such subdued acting from her. But that doesn't wipe away an entire history of overating and screechiness.

That scene in Mohabbateim where Amitabh tells Ash to stay away from Srk and she starts sewing..... and can’t express her pain.

Deepika could never do a scene like that.

Sorry I haven’t see Tamasha I don’t watch flop films and nothing great in Piku death scene

We are talking about who is a better actress, not offscreen personality.

Deepika is not an attention seeker, you must be mad to call someone having mental health issues as attention seeker.

And there's nothing remotely great in playing a dukhe aatma bhoot in mohabbatein 🤣
