Yeah it depends if the person is even interested or not. I do know some Marathis (or other regional people like Gujjus, Punjabis, etc ) who cannot speak Hindi or try to speak Hindi that's more suitable in their region. Like I would speak Hindi but there is an accent because my English is spoken differently in comparison to my Indian counterparts.Originally posted by: Pranushka_723
@bold I agree on this one,
@italics and underlined many people even in India aren't teaching their kids their mother tongue. I understand that learning English is important but you can learn as many languages as you wish. I believe in carrying the heritage with modern rules after all there has to be a balance.
I myself can read and write in 3 languages English, Marathi, Hindi. I understand Sanskrit and even can read Sanskrit texts. It doesn't seem difficult.
Should we teach you reading and writing in Hindi?😛
I like your titles, Bucky! @Bold - we don't have a roast queen yet 😭 everyone is too nice here
Roast queen... Main hoon Na...😎
* Rubs hands in glee😈
Ok how about Saheb? Please don't say you have problem with this name too 🤣
Mishti + Saheb = Misheb or Sishti
Good idea! If you're busy, I can ask for permission for thread and make it. But if you want to do it, that is also fine.
Yesss!!! Tbh it was a bittersweet feeling...I was really hoping to get a pic of him 😭 Itna na tadapao hume, Mohit Babu💔
Saheb nahi please... I have problem with this name too. This boy used to disturb me in coaching😔

Hi-5, I'm also not on SM😃
Insta ka toh mujhe samajh hi nahi aata
I do not have any of the SM accounts. My friends are literally blackmailing me into joining at least fb or insta😆
I took Japanese as a third language and it was even one of my subjects in Board exams. Besides, I know a couple of languages, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and of course English😆Summing it up, I can fluently speak, read and write 6 languages.We are required to learn a foreign language in high school and college so I took Spanish. They teach such basic level that even after so many years, I can't speak it fluently and let's not even talk about pronunciation. Also people here are too ignorant to learn a language besides English. Learning a language when you are older is very difficult. That's why I'm thankful that I grew up learning both Hindi and English as a kid. Many Indian-American kids don't speak Hindi or their Indian mother tongue because their parents don't teach it thinking that it will affect their English. This is not true at all lol because I can speak both languages fluently. But, I can't read/write in Hindi.
Guys, I liked the idea of the forum awards and that creators should handle their posts!😃
It's scientifically proven that it's easier to learn languages as a kid. Tbh most intellectuals speak multiple languages so the argument that it would affect their English is not strong. In fact, the more languages you speak, the more marketable you are in a job field.
Lol I should've spent learning how to read/write hindi during quarantine and surprised my parent 😆 My cousin tried teaching me so I can read very basic words...KG level
@bold I agree
The thing that you thought of learning it, itself is good👍🏼
