The poor suffer, no doubt. But the actual victims of this scam are always the tax paying middle class people.

Already government employees have been rid of any benefits they might have gotten, and also lost a percentage of their money!

What's the context here? Nobody is forcing anyone to donate in these fundraisers. Every government can use some extra help. Esp in India. We're poor. If one thinks their taxes are enough, so be it. Indian fans have this culture where they try to shame or bully a celeb to donate and that's wrong. But the average person faces so such behavior so they can donate on their own accord.

I do agree that cutting parts of salaries of employees is wrong if they didn't consent to it. That's on the government.

He hasn’t released a new movie and done that much of public appearances with us that’s why his fans get excited when he shows up even briefly. Please bear with us 😳 .

I'm not talking against the stars or what they're trying to do. Sorry if it came out that way. It was merely an observation that the government has a lot of money a large part of which is not going to see the light of day in terms of reaching the poor.

I'm all for charity, and if this event raises money, well and good. I was simply stating that until the government gets up and starts helping its middle class, which it hasn't been doing well, tbh, a lot of this is not going to work.

Sorry if I sounded wrong!

Longass boring preachy messages are not needed for hours long concert. People are watching to forget about it for a while and get entertained. Constant virus jaap in different ways wasn't needed. It actually drove viewership away.

Exactly how I felt

No no I understand. But I think by now we all know that the Indian government is corrupt. It's an universal truth at this point. No matter who comes into power we'd never be lucky to have a completely honest government. The PM Cares fund is an example of how deep this racket goes. Nobody knows how much was collected, nobody knows where it's going. And honestly, nobody even the balls to enquire. A true sign of democracy yay.

Modi is failing, his government is failing to control this but as soon as he gives another task, it's the middle class who would be banging utensils, lighting candles and waiting for acche din. The government today could not have gotten away with all of its shit, especially it's failure in the economic sector, without the support of the middle class. Till the trance of achhe din ends, and people see Modi and Co. as complete failures which they are, things won't change. The middle class has to change its tune to get its due. They hold the power. Nobody else. Till the current government gets a jhatka, they wouldn't do shit.

A lot of them are so dumb for not knowing the audience they were catering to...Who the heck wanted to watch the long ass speeches and sermons and sad stories? Aren’t we already getting them everywhere else? This was their chance to do something good and entertaining, but they have completely ruined it for themselves and for us....Ranveer especially did zilch, especially for the kind of claims he keeps making that he wants to be the entertainer and what not...This was his best opportunity in the current times...The only respite is he kept it really short unlike the others who took forever only to bore us to tears!
