Saw tweets that Ranbir should have married Alia earlier, she is already doing her bahu duties and Rishi would have gotten to attend his son's wedding before passing away.

In a Situation like this People still make it all about Alia. XYZ would/should have done the same. its something you expect in her case the gf. I guess there would be other family friends who would like to be there standing by their sides like a rock.

Well they very well know Alia being there people will talk about it. I feel bad for RK, he needs a strong woman who can lend a shoulder to him at this sad moment but ulta it seems that he has to console and wipe Alia's tears.

I wont call it her responsibility or duty, after all being a would be bahu, means she is part of the family.... also seems like she had gotten pretty close to Rishi

what irked me was article about how Alia broke down while bidding goodbye.....i mean its a given, right ? whats the need to put a article about it, esp on the day itself............ kisne article dala pata nahi, but they couldve waited a few days.....

One of my friend also said #RanbirAlia was trending more! People were not even considering Ranbir Kapoor, it's all RanbirAlia now. I mean I have no grudges against either of them. Still it could have been nice if they let day be for Rishi Ji alone. And I am damn sure yrs from now on, " Here's how Alia stood as a rock by Ranbir's side" or " Throwback to" will make headlines.

Rishi loved Alia. This is from an article today written by Meena Iyer (wrote Rishi's biography) about their last meeting in March

At the dinner table, he reprimanded me for the umpteenth time for being a “boring” vegetarian, as he tucked into an extra-small portion of an exotic chicken dish whipped up by Neetu. That evening, I learnt that the couple and Ranbir were likely to celebrate Alia Bhatt’s birthday (March 15) together. Though he was in the middle of chemotherapy, Chintu told Neetu that he wanted to take his son and Alia out for a meal.

Later, he said to me that he would be okay if Ranbir wanted an intimate wedding. “It’s their call. I am okay with 45-odd people too. I will tell my friends, well-wishers to bless them. I will apologise and explain that everyone couldn’t be invited because Ranbir is a private person. I respect his privacy,” he said.

As I got up to leave, he apologised for not seeing me to the door and requested Neetu to walk me to the lift. Like always, a box of See’s Candies (sugar-free peanut brittle) was my parting gift. Now, I see the box staring back at me from the refrigerator. But the man who made sure I was always stocked up is gone.
