I think it was Karna's oblique way to make Kunti confess that she is his mother. And it was also his "Abhiman (Since you did not behave like a mother with me do not call yourself my mother)".

PS: I have not watched the series for at least 6 years.

It is beautiful. Based on both Krishna-Karna Sambad and Karna-Kunti Sambad of epic. You can not but love Karna here. But the poem is completely silent about Karna's insult of Draupadi.

This is definitely a wonderful work of literature. I have read both the Bengali and English versions and have adored both

Karna has been my favourite character since the time I read the Mahabharata and this poem by Rabindranath Tagore only increases the fondness.

Thank you for sharing it here 😳

Though Karna is not my favourite, he is one of the most intriguing characters in Mahabharata along with Shri Krishna and Empress Krishnaa. That is why we have so many literary works on him.

I have not read the English version of Karna-Kunti Sambad, just searched and shared it.

But question is will Draupadi accept Karna as husband like panchpandavas,he had called her a vaishya -taunted her panch pathiyon wali kaa maan kya apmaan kaa,toh why would she accept him🤔.

Uproar ka i really dont know🤔-80s mein DD pe jo dikhathe thhey we all watched without problem- vastrharan, 5 pathi sab dekha toh why outrage over 6th husband possibility.

Those were simpler times without fake twitter trends and noisy 24hr news channels😵 dividing people in the name of religion😔..

Personally I believe Krishna wasn't being entirely serious when he offered Draupadi.

He knew Karna held his ego above everything else, and offering anything (let alone the crown PLUS the ho-sakti-thi-trophy-wife) would actually root him further with the Dury&co.

Woh kisi se daan nahi na leta tha. 😳

Maybe this proposal from Krishna was actually to stop him from even considering Kunti's proposal that came soon after.

BRC Karna himself said, if he were to be given the crown, he would simply surrender that to Dury and the whole point of the war would've been laid to waste. If Karna was indeed that much in favour of Dury, then he would've accepted without any delay.

He probably wanted Dury to get his comeuppance without HIM having to take that decision as the eldest Pandav.

Epic Karna also said that.
