I guess may be knew, it was not too long now, he seemed to be wrapping up. That voice message gave such an impression - "Main Aapke Saath hun bhi aur Nahi bhi. "

When I read his hospitalization news yesterday, though the first thought was negative as I lost my dad at around the same age for the same beast, I thought it shall pass and he will come out of it....This is unimaginably shocking and no words to express...I have never wept for a celebrity and I didn’t think I had it in me to feel for them....But this one hits too close to home to react in any other way.....Gone too soon, Irfan!

May his soul RIP
💔💔💔😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔💔 I haven’t seen the film but oh my god. The whole msg is heart wrenching but the last past made me cry. “And yeah, .....wait for me”. I just couldn’t hold back after I heard him say that.Originally posted by: surajhere
Irrfan's voice message to fans for Angrezi Medium. Never thought opening lines would come true so cruelly .

This is so sad😭 RIP
Rest in peace Irrfan Khan. He was really good. What makes me sad is that there won't be a proper funeral. I pray for his soul and wish best for his family to stay strong.
This is so much to take 😭
I have successfully managed to cocoon myself in privilege for my own sanity for weeks now but this kinda broke me. I really thought nothing can make this time any sadder than it is but here we are.
This guy.. I found him through Banegi apni baat and then went back and watched Shrikant and Bharat ek Khoj because he was there and every single time I was left in complete awe of his talent. In all of his TV shows,he had stalwarts as his co actors and somehow he was able to outshine them in scenes. Then came Mano ya na Mano.
The way he rose up the ranks to be one of the most brilliant actors to ever grace our screens is a testament to his incredible range as an actor.
He was one of those gifted people who had charm and raw talent in equal measure. I can't stress this enough: he never felt outta character in any role he's ever done. He was that effortless.
Oh.. what filmography he has had. I doubt anyone today can match his sheer range. My first movie memories of him is from Salaam Bombay and Ek doctor ki Maut then ofcourse Haasil. I was blown away like everyone else.
Whether it was as Maqbool or as Paan Singh Tomar, as Monty from life in a metro or Roohdaar from Haider( one of my favourite movies ever!), Saajan from Lunchbox,Ashwin from Talvar, or my mom's favourite Rana from Piku, this man has never failed to make character memorable. I remember coming out of Life of Pi telling my friends that the movie needed more Irrfan. There was something so calming about his presence on screen.
But if I have to pick one character of his that has stayed with me for years it has to be Ashok Ganguly from the Namesake. Tabu and him made the movie better than the book, a rarest of rare feat in cinema. Every frame of that movie is magical and pure nostalgia personified, his deep accented voice echoing throughout the movie was one of its highlights. When he talks to Gogol, it's like he's talking to you. Surreal.
He was one of our greatest. Period. And the saddest part is we all know he had so much more to give. We were robbed off many great performances.
A truly gifted actor and a brave human being. He never gave up and fought till the end. Am just glad he's no longer in pain, he fought for so long.
Also, there's something about people passing away specifically during this time. It's somehow sadder, more heartbreaking, for the experience is somehow lonelier. He deserves to be surrounded by every one of his friends and well wishers but that can't happen.
My condolences to his family. They have been with him on this long long journey. Like I mentioned, someone passing away during this time is a lonely experience because not many can come and lend a shoulder to the family. The kind of adulation Irrfan gathered from the industry, as actor and most importantly as a human being, he deserves so much more than this.
Rest in peace.
